Here, D3V. http://www.care-bears.com/

D3V 2004-01-15 07:26 PM

Lets just move this shithole thread I made to the trash can, no fucking point of letting people spam for a few more days, just trash it NOW.

Grav 2004-01-15 07:36 PM

Well, isn't that a negative way to look at things.

D3V 2004-01-15 08:44 PM

This is my point exactly, you can't one mother fucking thing seriously. All you do is go around and fuck up threads, post bullshit that isn't relevant to anything, somebody fucking TRASH THIS THREAD.

Grav 2004-01-15 08:48 PM

Tsk tsk! You're going off topic in a very negative way, D3V!

Damn RIAA.

zagggon 2004-01-15 08:51 PM

The whole music industry is full of rich dipshits that have no respect for the everyday person. They deserve to have their music ripped from kazaa and other places....besides who the fuck cares they are rich.

Sovereign 2004-01-15 08:52 PM

The cry baby bitches at metalica claim thhat illegal downloads caused their last album to flop. Bullshit, they just cant admit that they have shitty music.

D3V 2004-01-15 08:55 PM

Maybe we should hold a public execution, well PPV at least, then you could make more money than their cd.

Aren't you flaming outside of the flame forum now?

What a negative kid!

I do believe this calls for an edit!

The RIAA pisses me off!

Sovereign 2004-01-15 09:01 PM

Edited it. D3v knock it off. Take it to the flame forum. you obviously hate grav, let out the rage there NOT here.

D3V 2004-01-15 09:16 PM

He's off topic, thats basically spam, so shouldn't that be considered an equal level of offense as a flame?

Grav 2004-01-15 09:20 PM

Huh? I'm mostly on-topic! I really do hate the RIAA!

I'm sick of them claiming to be for the music recording industry's best interest, or whatever. They are doing it for themselves.

A post complaining about something being off topic having no correlation to the subject at hand is off topic.

Now, as for what I was going to say before I was so rudely interrupted.

Verizon may have pwnt the RIAA a bit, but they still suxorz. I barely get any reception in my dorm room... *sniffles* All the people with Sprint phones get reception... *breaks down into tears*

uncapped 2004-01-16 11:25 AM

I have Nextel. Nextel pwnz Verizon.

I've already ANNOUNCED that!

squidblaine 2004-01-16 03:12 PM

If you like a band alot, you should do the decent thing and go buy their CDs to support them. However poor or rich they are. :p

But

The record sales is what you need in the long run.

Yes, but for Dev to claim that a band makes all of it's money through tours is ludicrous. They don't pass around a collection plate at the end of the show and walk home with a handful of cash. They get paid to do the show, and the pay they recieve is because they worked their asses off to put on that show. They work like crazy while touring, and they get paid accordingly. That pay doesn't make up for numbshit retards donwloading all of their songs for free, unless you're Britney Spears and you get paid for simply breathing.

Plus, a great percentage of that money goes towards the venue and the people supporting the tour. To claim that you shouldn't be required to buy a band's CD because they make all of their money touring is ridiculous. They get paid to tour because it's hard work. They should also get paid for their music because you're listening to it.

how do u actually know that cd company sales are down...no1 is allowed to look at their "books"....they're just looking for a medium to blame...just as someone can say, "the filesharing technology is reducing sales by millions"..another person can point out 101 ways that money is being used inneffectively in the music industry and by their compaines..this would lower expenses..therefore larger sales margins

a study was done by Janis Ian (a musical artist). Her major find was that when she promised to give her songs out for free on the internet..he sales went up 30%...and when she acutually gave her songs for free via the internet..her sales grew by 300%!!...ask anyone in marketing..for every single product u give away..u gain 3 buyers..(not sure if this is known as "loss sales advertising")...her study is found here..look at her interesting facts near the bottom:
http://www.janisian.com/article-internet_debacle.html

large corporations such as aol time warner/disney..work like this: when they see a new technology such as "filesharing" they first want to DESTROY IT because it supposedly conflicts with their profit margin..and when they can't destroy it..they go and OWN IT so they can control it for their own uses and sell 99c songs...just look at what apple did w/ itunes..or realnetworks w/ their media service..or even napster..absorption of new technology after destruction of it has failed

Eddie_Perez 2004-01-18 09:02 AM

I buy cd's with a collector mentality, but yeah... I'm downloading music right now.
