Last I checked, the max damage is added to your OVERALL max damage, and is unmodified by ED% and whatnot.
Edit: Tested it, it works as it did in 1.09. I KNOW I tested that at one point, and removed all the +max dmg charms from my inventory because of it. Was there a serverside patch that I missed? |
well for a nice life boost you could use a combonation of io's and jahs could make for a good life boost, but if you have a cta i am not sure how jah's would work with the bo. also if you werent gonna use 40/15's in your caddy some alternates would be ber's and um's for crushing blow and open wounds.

i got 38dmg less!!!!!!! and 4 LO runes into the weapon and a highlords for ias and even more double-dmg-chance (then you need some ias into armor or somewhere else...) --> U make with every hit double dmg, I think thats the best way for maximum dmg one can have... ed is not really worth anything, because of the low basis-dmg of the weapon! so maxdmg(30 is max on a jewel) is the ebst, besides LO runes in the weapon.. well, ber runes for dmg reduce is also nice... maybe 2 into the helmet, with a string ;) but i am not rich, so i use 2 LO 1 jah 1 ed/maxdmg juw |
Thats the problem with so many open sockets...so many possibilities and ideas. Well at least if I screw it up theres the ol Hel TP recipe for starting over. I was thinking about this for the weapon: 40/15 Max jewel 40ED-41 Lightning dmg jewel, and a perfect lightning facet. Or do facets only give percentage bonus to casters? I am so clueless these days due to lack of playing time, thanks for all the ideas.

A Lightning Facet will give a bonus to any and all skills that deal with damage by Lightning. It matters not what class.
