I'm guessing it was just a typo in the answer, but still, its not correct. |
Lol yep. Oops.
Anyhow, for anyone who hasn't gotten it yet, it's phonetic. Read what each line is in english, and how many there are (as in, if you were explaining it to someone over the phone), then read the next line numerically. 1113213211 |
new riddle ^_^

Only bad thing about riddles is people like to use this thing called "google". I was doing trivia's and riddles in an IRC chan once and they are all like... you got beat my google, kept answering shit in 1minute tops
|
Yeah, its true, people definitely do that, but I'd like to think that people are actually trying to figure it out on their own for at 15 minutes before caving in to the internet search.. :(
|
wait, what do u mean read the next line numerically
|
Phonetic is when you say it, numerically is in order of size

phonetic = eleven?
numerically=2 numers? |
As in, if you had this number sequence:
1 If you read it phonetically, you would say, "One 1", or for the next line you would have: 11 Again, read it photenically, you would say, "Two 1's", or for the next line you would have: 21 So on and so forth... 1211 111221 312211 13112221 1113213211 31131211131221 13211311123112112211 etc., etc. etc... |
so for 21 u would say "one 2","one 1" and for 1211 would u say "one 1" "one 2" "two 1s"? or would u say "three 1s" "one 2"
|
1121 = "Two 1's", "One 2", "One 1", or 211211.
1211 = "One 1", "One 2", "Two 1's", or 111221. |
Yeah its quite simple when you realize how you missed it. Give us another titus , we're bored.
|
lol OOOOOOOO finally i get it, i am very stupid at these kind of things

Students at Zelaron High with a class size under of 30 took a math test. One third of the class got a "B", one quarter a "B-", one sixth a "C", and one eighth failed. The remainder of the students got an "A" How many students got an "A"?

Three friends check into a motel for the night and the clerk tells them the bill is $30, payable in advance. So, they each pay the clerk $10 and go to their room. A few minutes later, the clerk realizes he has made an error and overcharged the trio by $5. He asks the bellhop to return $5 to the 3 friends who had just checked in. The bellhop sees this as an opportunity to make $2 as he reasons that the three friends would have a tough time dividing $5 evenly among them; so he decides to tell them that the clerk made a mistake of only $3, giving a dollar back to each of the friends. He pockets the leftover $2 and goes home for the day! Now, each of the three friends gets a dollar back, thus they each paid $9 for the room which is a total of $27 for the night. We know the bellhop pocketed $2 and adding that to the $27, you get $29, not $30 which was originally spent. Where did the other dollar go?
|
AH I Figured it out now, the # of students that got an a = 3
edit: here Common demoninator for 3 4 6 8. The only common is less than 30 is 24, so you see "b" = 8 "b-" = 6 "c" = 4, failed = 3, all of these equal 21, and the 3 remaining got an A |
Must show process!!
