That is true, just get out and stuff, and you'll sleep fine

I like it cold in my room. I have air conditioner in my room set on 60-65 and I curl up under my blankets.

Yup, since I've started running in the morning and be more active throughout the day it's easy for me to fall asleep, I usually goto bed at 23:00-0:00, fall asleep somewhere inbetween and then wake up at 8:00. I dont even need a alarm clock anymore, I just automatically wake up around that time.

tips:
-Dont stay in bed too long if your awake.
-Dont go and sleep on an empty stomach, but also dont eat to much before going to sleep.
-Sleep and wake up at regular times.
-Dont smoke, nicotine gives an effect that keeps you more awake.
-Dont drink too much before going to sleep because you may need to get out to pee.
-Pee before you goto sleep.
-Dont drink anything with caffeine before going to sleep.(cola, coffee and stuff)
-Go easy on sleeping pills if you may need them.

Yeah you guys all give great tips. I just got to try them out one day. If only I was so lucky as to have my main computer in my room, I would leave her purring all night. I have the problem that my mind never SHUTS THE FUNK UP! Its always thinking. I think I need to do some of that crazy Yoga - Tai Chi - Magic stuff to get my mind quiet. I tried to walk on my tredmill for 30 minutes while watching TV. Then I did two sets of 50 crunchs, and then 50 push-ups. The only reason it didn't work was because me mind was like 500 mph. I will try to stay up all night without the parents going >:O Thx people, you guys deserve medals and trophies for your advice to us less-knowledge people.

Thats exactly what happens to me during school nights, so I typically ran on 4-6 hours of sleep a night.

You people and your inability to control your body. I tell myself to go to sleep, whenever, and wherever, and I am out in 20 minutes tops. I can sleep on the floor, on a pool table, leaned up against a wall, anything.... doesn't matter.

I used to have the exact same problem but I found a super solution: Using headphones I turn up the music to the point that it's too loud to think. (Not nearly loud enough to be dangerous, but still too loud to carry on a coherent thought process). Just make sure to use something that you've heard 10,000 times and are majorly bored of or else you'll be staying awake enjoying the music.

Doing this and one other tip, that is making sure the room temp is below 70 degrees, enables me to usually be able to fall asleep in a matter of at the very most 10 minutes. And this is coming from someone who also used to be up in bed for hours every night.

Oh wait, one other important thing: make sure you're lying in a position that's comfortable to stay in for hours at a time - otherwise, youll keep shifting positions every 20 minutes and that will also keep you awake. What I find the best is to lay on my stomache with my arms out on top, under and around the pillow.

I really hope this help

It does, thanks.

I had a big problem today >_<

I tried to stay up last night, and it was going well, till 7 AM today, when my mom was like, "Why don't you rest your eyes on the couch while I go make tea. I will wake you up when its done." Suprise! I woke up at 3 PM. I don't know if I can go to bed this night, but I will try. I had a lot to eat, and I was riding my bike for 15 minutes. Lets hope, eh? If not, I might just have to stay up another night and not rest! I must be vigilant! >:O
