It's be pretty retarded of someone to mass spam to try to raise activity. Anything more then 4 posts a day will do nothing to your activity.

Not a chance. We had one on vB 3.0, and one a couple of years ago. I don't know about the original, but the vB 3.0 one didn't bring about more spam. In fact, it was something interesting to look at when you were bored.

Not many of my 6000ish posts are spam. I mean, a few hundred of them are very serious posts.
