Meh. I just think it's comical when you come in here and start flaming mine and D3V's teams when you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I mean, it's pretty easy to decipher that you're only pretending to know jack shit about the NFL.
|
Alright, I just perused through most of these posts, but there are a few things I need to say.
The Cowboys aren't that great, as shown by the Eagles beating them last week. Maybe it was an off game, but if you can have an off game like that, who knows whats going to happen in the playoffs? Secondly, the Jets ALWAYS play the Patriots tough, it's just a good rivalry, especially now. But don't forget that the Jets stadium had freezing weather, snow, and 40+ MPH wind gusts, so getting ANY offense together was difficult. I wouldn't say the Jets locked down the Pats at all, but normal atmospheric conditions did. |
The ravens smacked them around too, it just takes the right game-plan against them..
|
That's any team man. They're obviously the best in the league, and anyone that might beat them is going to have to catch them on an off day and they are going to have to play their A-game. If anyone thinks differently, then they're just a homer, not a realist.
|
I hate Miami, and feel they still have a realistic chance. You are right though, a win for either team depends more on each side than it does their opponent.
|
So you're saying that NE's poorly offensive performance was based solely on the weather and had nothing to do with the Jets defense? I'm not buying it.
|
Well we're very close to knowing exactly what team will be where, the Jags going against Pittsburg is a very likely scenario, but things do change. I'm so excited for the Playoffs now after seeing the domination the Jaguars have displayed out of the past games, (winning 6 of the last 7 games, and two being playoff teams, and maybe 3 (tennessee))).
This end-season football play is shaping up to become very exciting :) |
Jaguars ARE doing good as of late. I hope you guys somehow end up playing New England in the 2nd round; I think you can beat 'em.
Looks like the Colts are going to rest their starters this Sunday vs. Tennessee. You don't see the Gaytriots resting THEIR starters do ya? They've got EVERYTHING locked up.. home-field advantage, first round bye, etc etc and they're still going to go balls to the wall vs. the Giants? I really hope somebody on the Giants D fucks Brady up. They'll be gunning for him, that's for sure. Either way, GO COLTS!! |
The problem with resting your starters is that they are now going to be off the field for like 3 straight weeks until they play again in the playoffs. Yes, you'll be rested, but you may also be rusty..
|
Very true. I believe that's why the Colts lost to the Steelers a couple years ago in the 2nd round.
The Patriots don't care about that, though. They just want that undefeated season. It's all about the stats and records to them. Prediction for the NE@NYG game: Brady targets Moss more than anyone else so Moss breaks Jerry Rice's single-season TD record. Brady throws for 3+ touchdowns so he can beat Manning's single-season TD record. Trust me, they want all the glory. |
Cowboys knock off NE in the Super Bowl.

Dallas will get smoked either way. They are fraudulicious to the tenth degree. Green Bay will be the representatives from the NFC.
I honestly don't care about the Patriots going for all the glory. I personally think it would be pretty damn cool to see history like this get made in my lifetime, in the same season. Wild shit, yo. |
Yeah really, people get too caught up in the politics of the game to really sit back and think of how great a situation this is for our Era, it probably won't happen again for a long time, and i'm sure the Patriots will fall eventually once their players start wanting more money for their efforts.
|
I'm desperately hoping for Brady to throw Moss 4 TDs tomorrow, which would guarantee a perfect season, Brady having the record, and Moss too. I think it's like 2 needed for Brady to break Peyton's record, and 3 for Moss to break Rice's record, but 4 would be better than simply beating it by 1 in each category.
|
Brady AND Moss only need 1 touchdown to tie, and 2 to break each individual record.
goddamn patriots.. bleh |
Well they did it. Bleh.
So what's everybody think now of the playoff situation? Who's gonna win, who's gonna lose, etc etc. By the way: check out this hit from last night's Colts game. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FFxNfICa2xM DAMN. |
Nice hit. I hate your team for laying down, only because I wanted to see the Browns finally make the playoffs.. They were a good story in the NFL this year.
|
patriots?
