No.

----

I also find this incredibly hilarious. I guess I missed the days when WW was more active. I've never actually seen him whip out a thread and flog someone.

----

Also, the big avatar has never been a reward enough to make me go out of my way to post.

I find relevance better than quantity.

Except in this thread...

And that thread...

look whos 3rd now ME ya me the rampage of post yesterday got me there and today im planning to do it again to tie at second

Kazilla 2008-08-19 07:43 AM

you only need 4 posts like everyone has said 100 times, there is no need to post in every single thread you visit.

WetWired 2008-08-19 10:56 AM

Assuming that Kazilla gets his 4 posts, it is unlikely that you will surpass him. It would require very specific circumstances concerning his past activity.

what do you mean

WetWired 2008-08-19 11:04 AM

It's complicated, but basicly the gain in activity each day is dependent on the difference between your activity yesterday and your activity 15 days ago. If you didn't log on 15 days ago and you got your 4 posts yesterday, your activity will jump up, but if you got your 4 posts 15 days ago and yesterday, then it will barely move -- that only because last week isn't worth as much as this week.

Now this is all news to me. How long has that been inplace without it being explained to everyone?

Kazilla 2008-08-19 01:57 PM

WW do you know how to get my avatar to look like yawgmoths? CHruser wasnt sure and by look like yawgmoths i mean

His shows his picture his Activity and Longevity with the Post per day and Post count conpletely gone.

Lenny 2008-08-19 02:13 PM

You've already done that by joining the No Postcount group. I don't know how it looks to you, but to everyone else it looks like:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y97...82/Kazilla.jpg

That's what you're trying to get, right?

EDIT: That's interesting. I just joined the NP group to see what would happen, and I've just left it... but there's a slight problem - no-one's post count is showing up for me.

The current user can always see their own activity today.

Since the system was conceived, and it was explained. I'm sure that I've posted the complete formula somewhere, but the basic idea was set out in the original post. Weeks are now individually weighted, with each further week being worth something like 2/3 of the week more recent. The only thing about the calculation that's changed on Zelaron in years is the number of weeks counted.

Kazilla 2008-08-19 11:32 PM

lol i just read through that entire link and am more confused the 1/2 the people you were trying to explain it to >_< Basically what i understood from that is

WW and KA are super computers, with KA being able to post durring biology
No one is capable of comprehending WW explanation
And Mideval Bob is completely against anything that shows who you are ;)

Every see that Car Insurance commercial? With the girl telling you how $200 can get you a snazzy new name tag? Thats what i think would be ideal - Give the mods and > something to differentiate themselves from the pack. I know on my last construction site all the operators, laborers, and surveyors wore yellow hats (we were the bottom feeders) and anyone that mattered had a white hat. Longevity didnt matter, nor how much they were in your face or on the site. The fact that they had a white hat was significant enough to let you realize hey, look busy ;)

Activity calculation

For each day that has passed, visiting that day is worth 3 points and the first four posts are each worth 2 points, for a total of 11 possible points for each day.
After these points have been calculatated for each day to be included (14 days, right now), they are multiplied by a week weight. The most recent week is multiplied by 36. The week before is multiplied by 27. Two weeks ago is multiplied by 21. Three weeks ago is multiplied by 16. Four weeks ago is multiplied by 12. Five weeks ago is multiplied by 9.
After the week weights are applied, the final scores are added up and compared against the maximum score possible. The percentage is your activity.

Jamer - second warning. Not only are you being abusive towards Kazilla for no reason, but the majority of the things you post are pointless, and could be classed as spam - such as replying to a thread with "he's taking advantage of you", when in the original post that was more or less stated, or saying that something is not allowed and then posting the rule from the FAQ. This is not the way to up your post count.

You have one warning left. After that I start banning.

And Kazilla, please don't reply to Jamer's abusive posts with "delete this ty". It's completely unnecessary. If you're that incredibly bothered by it, be a man and use the Report button. If I, or any other staff members, think that the post should be deleted, your post asking for it to be deleted will be included. As I've told Jamer, that's not the way to up your post count.

It only took you an extra month, huh?

Kazilla 2008-09-29 06:51 AM

Did it? LOL. Tutti just told me that it was a month old. I think I fell victim to the WRT a couple times, and went out of town once. Either way, I still manage to claw my way up to 100% and jamer is all talk.
