You could try the open beta full client torrent. That will patch up to release with a small patch.

Yea thats what I did, I had to edit my host file in windows to get it to patch though.

I'm 17 now, also I got my Stigma ready for level 20, so I can be a dual wield Gladiator. Can't wait.

How difficult is this game for a new player to learn and get into? How much do you have to think to do quests and find certain NPCs and such?

How much does the game itself cost, and what are the associated monthly fees? Is there a free trial?

If you have played WoW this game will be really familar in terms of gameplay.

Quest are easy, you just click on the highlighted text on your quest sheet, and you can click Location to find out exactly where you have to go. Or type /where NPC_Name_Here to have the game open the map and put a marker of where the NPC is you need to find.

It cost 50 dollars for the game and 13-15 dollars a month and you get the first month free. No free trial that I am aware of...

Why did youhave to change some host files, and how did you do it?

Because when I was trying to log on right when Preselection started (2 days before the game started you could make your characters and get the names you wanted) The game wouldnt find any patch servers to patch from the beta client to the new client.

Just incase you need to do that too here is how:

open up C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\

open the File 'Host' with notepad

add the follow line to the bottom of the file:
206.127.155.34 aion.patcher.ncsoft.com

save and close it and then run Aion.
