Link is way better than Young Link...better damage and range...

Raziel 2002-04-14 05:49 PM

I completely forgot about Fox! He's probably my second favorite character. He was almost useless in the first one, but so much better in Melee!

GameCube 2002-04-15 04:59 PM

whos ur favorite then?

Raziel 2002-04-15 06:22 PM

Definitely Sheik. Her regular physical attacks are twice as good as her special moves, and she has almost no recovery time between attacks. She's a total badass. Second favorite would be Fox, third would have to be Link. I also really like Mr. Game and Watch. It's humiliating to be beaten by him.

GameCube 2002-04-15 08:57 PM

shiek's pretty good

Raziel 2002-04-15 09:15 PM

Who do you use aside from Kirby?

www.com 2002-04-16 01:48 AM

Why does everyone like Kirby so much, I really didn't enjoy playing as kirby.. Maybe i haven't learned how to unleash his power yet. I bet once you master him, he's pretty badass.

Mr.Lee 2002-04-16 02:04 AM

master his power then he rules

GameCube 2002-04-16 03:40 PM

agreed, he rules

HellSlayer 2002-12-29 07:22 PM

Super Smash Bros melee

I had this game for a long time. Its a pretty fun game. If you have never tryed it you should rent it. I did not like it at first bcause I only had one controller. But its only a fun game if you have two or more controllers. If anyone likes this game post why u like it.

Jamesadin 2002-12-29 07:25 PM

It never gets old.

quikspy67 2002-12-29 09:53 PM

yeah i agree its hours of fun mostly when there 4 people playing

Satoshi 2002-12-30 12:11 PM

When there are 3+ ppl play this game is the best!! I love the moves. I love mastering new characters. My best character is Roy as of right now but Im getting better with Fox and Mario.

quikspy67 2002-12-30 02:17 PM

ya my favorite is Roy also

BlueCube 2002-12-30 02:27 PM

It only gets old when you've got new games! But once those are done, I always go back to SSBM..

quikspy67 2002-12-30 03:21 PM

i usally play it when i have friends over

HellSlayer 2003-01-01 01:24 PM

Roy is so cheap. All his moves kick the other person of the screen.

quikspy67 2003-01-01 01:50 PM

no they don't

Alpha_omega 2003-01-01 03:39 PM

I rule with falco only been beaten once while i was falco...
The game never gets old because its just a great game with al the different modes and all the trophies and that sort of things

Jamesadin 2003-01-01 04:14 PM

I play as Roy and Fox...im getting quite good with Fox though..

HellSlayer 2003-01-01 06:06 PM

My fav is prilly Kirby. I will always use him to play super smash bros.

JohnnyTAE 2003-01-01 09:29 PM

Best games too play IMO when you have friends over
SSBM, Goldeneye/perfect dark. That is best of all times not really considering the newer games. Tekken tag and VF4 is also very good.

Tai 2003-01-01 09:33 PM

I personally use samus or link.

GameCube 2003-01-06 03:53 PM

yea, i agree. roy is cheap as hell. all his attacks to 25% or more and they all knock u off the screen in two hits.

quikspy67 2003-01-06 06:39 PM

i like his combos

Jamesadin 2003-01-06 08:37 PM

Me too actually.

quikspy67 2003-01-08 11:49 AM

sir.dennis 2003-01-08 11:56 AM

Gladius 2003-01-08 11:56 AM

I dont own the game but when i play the game at someones house i really dont give a damn.

quikspy67 2003-01-08 12:09 PM

ok ok i get you're point

Makenshi 2003-01-21 03:23 PM

Personally i like Yoshi

Jamesadin 2003-01-21 04:59 PM

I thought Yoshi was better in the first SSB, but I guess it is anyones opinion.

Medieval Bob 2003-01-21 05:08 PM

Yoshi was a bit unbalanced in the first SSB if utilized correctly. His swallow/spit the person out in an egg move was horribly unfair if the user was skilled with it.

I, personally, have always been a fan of Mario. I liked him better in the first SSB, because I could beat anybody I know 1 (me) on 3 (the challenger & 2 lvl-9 computer players) and almost always 1 (me) on 2 (both humans) fights. In the SSB for 'Cube, I don't like his cape attack -- it is wholly gay.

Ness isn't as good on the new one either. Hopefully, the new SSB will be playable online. I'll have to pwn up on some of you Zelaronies. Next to Killer Instinct Gold, SSB (the 64 version) is my best opportunity to show off my skills. I don't have the 'Cube game, but a friend of mine does, and I get some playtime whenever I borrow it. I'll have to buy the new one fer sure.

quikspy67 2003-01-21 06:56 PM

on the first one i like pikachu

NonGayMan 2003-01-22 06:54 AM

*THREADS MERGED*

Raziel 2003-01-22 03:54 PM

Roy has always been one of the easiest characters to beat, in my experience. Shiek and Yoshi are the two most unfairly balanced characters in the game. I'm not even gonna go into how lame a character Shiek is. It would take too damn long. But Yoshi I will explain.

First off, his damned smash attacks. His up and down attacks are ridiculous. He bends so far back during the charge for his up attack that it is impossible to hit him from above. His down attack stretches so far to his left and right that it is nearly impossible to roll around. Then there's his "butt-stomp" move that shoots those damned stars a full two character lengths from his sides. Why should his "butt-stomp" move have such a massive area of effect, and do so much damage, when Bowser's exact same move does a little less damage and doesn't have nearly as wide of a damage zone? Absolutely ridiculous.

quikspy67 2003-01-22 05:39 PM

We'll I don't care I still use Roy because I'm good with him.
