I'm sorry, did you forget that they're ENFORCING THE FUCKING RULES?! We have a police force to keep things in line, and in Zelaron that's what the mods do. You're pissed because they do their job? Moving threads that are misplaced, closing stupid, spammy threads, banning those worthy of it, and editing posts/closing threads that are just pointless bashing of another member is what they're supposed to do. If you don't want them to do that, what the fuck is the point of even HAVING a staff? Why not just declare mob rule and let the boards be destroyed, because that is EXACTLY what would happen.

No, honestly Slim, the boards used to be more fun when everyone was just more laid back. It wasn't this bad. The forums used to have a lot more open discussion. The reason mods were around were to ban idiots like Pinoy, but they never really jumped on the spam like they do now. There was a time I was getting a 100+ posts a day almost. If I did that now, there would be severe reprecussions. Quite a bit of spam was tolerated back then, and even though it occasionally dragged the thread off-topic, it was more fun. Now all the mods are strictly about keeping order in a thread. If it goes slightly off-topic, or if they don't like it, it's closed and trashed.

You know, with all that has happened (the database damage, etc.) it's no wonder they've been a little irritible. Sov had a good reason, as stated throughout this thread. Just give it some time, they'll cool off a little bit (However, I haven't noticed anything different)

Anyway, I seemed to have missed a good portion of what's been causing the recent uprising. Sovereign is a necessary Moderator on these boards, and anyone can have a bad day.

If it's been something scattered among a few days and whatnot, do point out what you think we're doing wrong. Obviously, members would have a better idea of when they're not enjoying themselves posting than a Staff member usually will.

It does seem that Sovereign has gone from one end of the spectrum to the other on this (from what I've seen so far). Just give him a break, since he's apologized and has already stated that he will try to do better.

I don't know about the rest of the Staff, but having the members making sure the Staff is not exerting undue force in enforcing rules is a good thing IMO, however, I don't feel that members haunting every step a Staff member takes is very productive. It also sets them on edge, and makes them irritable. This is quite possibly what has happened to Sovereign.

Not to mention 50%+ activity is in that section, and we keep it somewhat informative... I don't classify that as useless.
