Claymore ep. 20= They took random frames from chapters 54-56 then pulled a story out of their ass to tie them together. They even robbed me of my Claire vs. Flora sparring match.

It's almost like they had the manga author overseeing the first dozen episodes, then he stepped out and they decided to take the story in their own direction...

Another horrible deviation from the original work this week. In the anime story, Hotdog's concerns apparently don't exist, as Raki watches Priscilla eat a man this week.

At least I can look forward to Clare's rampage next week. If they decide to write that out, I'm quitting the anime and not looking back.

I agree. What it looks like to me, is that they've decided to end the anime early vs the manga. The first half of the series followed the manga 90% phrase for phrase, the second half has a corellation factor of less than 25%, I think. If the first half excited you, I definately reccomend you pick up the manga; I don't read manga anymore, but for Claymore I make an exception.

I havn't read that far into the manga or seen the anime, but I can see everyone just walking into the sunset going on to their next mission or some equally cheesy shit.

Wow, anime Claire didn't need to awaken all four limbs to beat Rigald, but she took like twice as long...
Any case, just further evidence for my swift ending hypothosis. In the manga, Claire never gained full control of her movement using only her legs; she had to awaken her arms and use all four to control her movement. With full control of her limbs at lightning speeds, I think we can expect a real end within 3 episodes, especially since Isley and Priscilla are in town and it seems that the rest of the horde isn't coming back.

Extra 3 translated by 10sigh is out. It's about Isley and Priscilla's first meeting. If Priscilla is as powerful in the anime, even anime Claire has no chance.

Maybe Priscilla kills Clare and takes Raki as her man servant ;). I'm sure Raki will save Clare since Priscilla likes him and then clare or another claymore will lop off priscilla's head.

If they somehow continued this series I would be amazed they would need a whole new storyline because it is so fucked up. And a lai style of fighting is worthless unless you can use the sword once its out thus Flora should get raped by someone and I don't care who.

I just started reading the manga since no one subs the anime in english anymore and I like the manga better. So I am not that far in the manga but she looks shitty from this last chapter I read.

Not Bitcommet, or Bittorrent, or Azerus. The way that torrents work, others are downloading from you while you download from them. Only what you are explicitly downloading or seeding is available to others. Since this arrangement greatly increases the total upstream bandwidth for a given file or set of files, it results in cheaper (for the host of the work), faster downloads for an educated download population (you have to forward ports to enable others to request from you to get the maximum possible download, though even without forwarding, your client will try to establish outbound connections). In any case, I think if you read up on it and understood it, you wouldn't be against it. On the other hand, many other P2P systems aren't so clean...

This week's episode confuses me. They made Priscilla bigger for no reason, then gave Claire the claw she didn't need for the fight against Rigald. Never mind the on-the-verge-of-death warrior carting herself an extra 10 miles to bring Claire back from awakening. The most confusing, though, is the four-limbs transformation. Her left limb is a claw speciallized in grappelling, and her right has her flash-sword speed, but no extra power as far as I've seen in the manga. For Claire to have a chance at all, she needs a full awakening. Even so, not only does Priscilla have the speed to defend against the flash-sword, but she can regenerate in almost an instant, while mounting a full assault.

No, and i already stated that my source was pretty much unreliable. I am not up to date with the most recent scans, and I odn't even know when a new oen is supposed to be out.,

It comes out arround the second week of each month. Currently, it's up to chapter 74 and 3 extra chapters. Extra chapter 4 should be out in a few weeks, then chapter 75 in November.

I was hoping for an interesting ending to the anime, but it was just bullshit and confusion.

Claire for no apparent reason just suddenly defeated Priscilla, then Raki stopped her from killing Priscilla. Jean turns Claire back reminding her of the spirits entrusted to her. Scenes of people entrusting her to kill Priscilla play (um, WTF? How does that make any sense in this context?). Everyone survives except for the four commanders. Miria, Deneve, Helen, and Claire desert, none with any real reason except Deneve -- just on a whim.

Such a disapointment that a series that started so strong ended so weakly. I think that even without a continuation, it would have been better to follow the manga to the end rather than push for a conclusion written by writers for whom this is just another story that they don't really care about.

You guys talk about Claymore when I haven't even started it. Is it that good of an Anime/Manga to watch/read even though according to you guys the ending sucks? In other words, is it worth it?

I recommend watching Eclipse's translation of the anime through ep14, then switching to 10sigh's translation of the manga starting at volume 8. The anime episodes 15-26 are non-canon, which is why they suck and you shouldn't watch them. If you're interested in starting, PM me.

By the way, WW, it is episodes 16-end that are different, not 15-end. 15 followed the story, a little out of order of according to the scenes in the manga, but still follows it to where you could start reading after that and nothing is different.
