howz about we get back to the main topic: "Video Game" consoles that are way out of hand and stop saying why or why not halo sucks.

I'd have to say I like my Playstation 2 more than my xBox in some ways, but my xBox more than my PS2 in others. PS2 is a good overall system, not getting too high in this aspect and too low in this aspect, it is very well balanced! xBox has some nice games, great graphics, I love the controllers, some of the features, Halo helps a lot true but so does other games such as Splinter Cell which I love... Anyway...

Okay, this isn't a flame thread. I'm moving it to General Gaming. If people start attacking others personally then it will be acceptable in this forum. Disagreements over console preference don't constitute flaming.

Congratulations, you're the first person to say that Halo sucks! No, you've never played the game. Because if you had, you would have loved the game! When I first played the game, I was addicted for hours!

Halo is not a shitty game. Period. And Halo 2 will probably be ranked as one of the best games in history. It will probably have good gameplay, good replay value, nice graphics, nice reviews, etc. just like Halo did.

If I wanted to, I could state a few flaws that the GameCube has, but I'm not going to do that. That's just stupid and immature.

Fortunately i'm happy with both my Gamecube and my Ps2. and i use them both for what they were originally invented for...Video games. i'm keeping it real here boys! hehe

agreed. video game consoles should be used ONLY to play video game. y buy a video game console to record tv shows? thats makes no sense at all. this is why sony and microsoft are not real video game companies because they dont specialize in making video games. That is why nintendo is better because thats all they do: make video games and video game hardware.

sony should not be making game systems! Their hardware is cheap as hell and they flood the market with way too many crappy games!! XboX and GC might not have many games but they have great exclusives......if you haven't, play eternal darkness for GC or Timesplitters 2 for XboX.....and for anyone who thinks Windwaker has bad graphics, just look at the shading and the actual animations(motion) ...Ive never seen better in a cel-shaded game!

Just because that's all that Nintendo does doesn't mean that it makes them the best at it. Microsoft and Sony are doing a great job having XBox and PS2 include extra functions besides playing games. It makes more than just the average gamer want to buy their products.

But extra functions isn't what makes both PS2 and XBox great. Microsoft and Sony are just as good, if not better, at making hardware and software then Nintendo. Just like Nintendo, they too have a enormous staff of developers. It wouldn't suprise me if they had more than them.

So, I have a question for you now, GC. Why would you say Nintendo better then these two companies?

Because his name is GameCube, and that's made by nintendo!

The X Box really doesn't have a lot of quality games yet. Nothing's hit its full potential.

And Sony did fuck up the PS2 pretty badly. It actually has more power than a GameCube in it, but the circuitry inside creates a bottleneck due to one CPU controlling it all. Nintendo got around this by using a few sub-CPUs (but the total power is still less than a PS2) to divide the load and the results do show.

That's not true in the slightest. The PS2 is quite possibly the flimsiest console ever manufactured. I've played my Gamecube easily ten times as much as my PS2 and the thing still works exactly like it did the day I bought it (which happens to be the day it was released). My PS2 (which I only bought last summer) on the other hand, has stopped playing most DVDs, and I expect it to stop playing PS2 games, PS1 games and audio CDs entirely within the next few months. On top of that, the console itself is the hardest of the three to code for considering it uses three weaker-powered processors instead of one higher-end processor, so the "software" argument doesn't work there either. Sony doesn't even have an internal development group. In other words, they don't even make their own games anymore. The thing is just a hunk of crap with a lot of 2nd and 3rd party support.

The reason that Nintendo is the best at what they do is because they've been doing it for about a century. They've been making video games for about 20 years, but have been in existence since the early 1900s. They know exactly what their audience wants, and they never fail to disappoint. The day Nintendo stops making video games is the day the video game industry ceases to exist.

BTW, Nintendo didn't actually make or manufacture the GameCube. They're made by IBM, hence the high quality. :)
