Back to the topic, shrinking the image to fit within the guidelines would be impractical if not impossible. It's nearly half a megabye and contains 117 images so getting it smaller would involve taking out images.
Yeah, I don't have a program that would break that up into single frames, if I did I could easily compress it down myself and resize it all. But I don't, and now I don't care. It's not worth getting banned, because apparently cleveage was added to the list of things not allowed.

In avatars and sigs. Four years ago.

Well, your signature contains multiple links to Bit Torrents, which is highly illegal through my work. I think you should remove them. If I were to accidently click on them and download anything I could be fired/sued. That is against company policy, and state policy to share and distribute copyrighted material.

WetWired 2008-04-10 07:23 AM

My sig contains zero links to bit torrents. Further there is no copyright holder in the states for any torrents linked to from any sites linked to from my signature.

D3V 2008-04-10 07:45 AM

I got to this through your links.

And no, none of my links linked there.

Yes. I may not respond to your question "where can I get Naruto" with neither "you can get it at X site" nor with "http://Xsite.com". Neither may I say "Hey guys, go get Naruto at X site" nor "Hey guys, go get Naruto at http://Xsite.com". However, the rule allows linking or mentioning sites that have an array of stuff, both legal and illegal, as long as noone mentions specific, copyrighted works.

D3V 2008-04-10 09:00 AM

Just admit you're wrong. If I were to link any site, even remotely partaining to anything possibly copyrighted/liscened then I would more than likely get a swift ban and post deletion. I just feel like the rules are too vauge, still.

WetWired 2008-04-10 10:48 AM

No, the rule was worded as it is specificly to allow the discussion of torrent search sites and the such. We just don't want the forum to be a place where people list all their torrents and such.

And again, every torrent listed on animesuki does not have a copyright holder in the US (they take down all listings when the copyright is purchased), so even if the rule is vague to you, that much should make it obvious that it doesn't apply.

How about we just permaban D3v and get this over with. I'm sick of his constant attempts to get around the rules. At least permaloser or permafag would be good.

Thanatos 2008-04-11 07:55 AM

EPIC BOOBS.

Kaneda 2008-04-11 11:39 AM

You don't think there is some kind of video mischief going on there Thanatos? Aside from the reversing.

D3v's a valuable and contributing member. Hell, just about every member in a community this side has some sort of value. Anyways, you guys just like to give him a hard time :P.

It's not the resolution that's the problem, it's the file size limit. It's 29.3 KB, roughly the size of a couple frames.

I'm not sure if there is a size limit on remote linked images so, that might not be a problem after all.

If I resized this for him, would I be banned for it?

-Spector- 2008-04-13 10:41 AM

Not if you only put it in a post.

I don't know how you could possibly see it that way. It's completely the other way around. D3v could be a great member but he decides to be a troll instead.

HandOfHeaven 2008-04-13 11:11 AM

New trolling rule! Yay Chruser.
