Two different opinions, yes. Apparently, that's a reason to lash out at me...

Shinto, tell your parents about this. I'm sure they are more then happy to hear about your faith. Heck, they'll even treat you with a special trip to somewhere, where you can see god in all his white, lab coated glory. You will be sent to heaven, with its soft, white, plush walls, where everything you need will be provided to you in some capsul of truth.

Penny_Bags 2004-10-05 09:24 PM

Shinto... everything that you have said in this entire thread has made zero to little sense at all.

Eddie_Perez 2004-10-06 04:24 AM

I'll ignore all your comments and just say... I only believe because of the fear, of what happens after death.

kockblocker1 2004-10-06 06:46 AM

I would speculate that at least 90% of devout religious people believe for the same reason you do.

Bible codes? I've heard of them, but what a load of bollocks. Prob just a load of publicity:

Oh, let's say the bible predicts everything, that'll get people to turn religious and read it to know what happens.

Look at predictions and look at the french prophet Nostradamus. OK, a few of his things came true, but the actual prophecies were so vague, they could have applied to anything.

God is created by belief. There's some great quote that I can't quite remember that says along the lines of:

If there wasn't a God, then man would create him/her/it in the end.

Side Note: Wow, I'm older than MJ!! Wait, omg, it was predicted by the bible codes!!! Let's turn religious!!

It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.

Lenny 2004-10-06 12:55 PM

Sorry to say, that I am not a D2 head.

OK, I'll put on my sitter on the fence head.

Let's see......hummmmmmmmmmmmm ding!

Right, put in my last post and add:

OK, there may be some sort of truth in it though. Look at it this way. Using the Cosmological Argument and the Teleological ARgument, heck all the Arguments, we can say that there is a greater chance that God does exist. Why? People through history prove it: Ghandi (or does he?), Mother Theresa etc. If there wasn't a God, why would so many people worship him, even if it is in diferent ways? The Bible can't have been made up that easily. There are many tue figures in there that were actual figures in history. Also, it would take a really great mind to actually create the Bible codes, which I doubt even Einstein could have done, so it must have been God coming to people in visions, and/or telling them what to write down.

That goes against all my beliefs and...things, but you implied that you want more double opinions, so there youn have it.

Note: Please don't make me do it again, my brain hurts, I think it thinks I'm now a traitor.

It's just proof that there are a bunch of morons and lemmings out there, and thought history.

I do not believe in spirituality at all, because of this I have no fear of death.

Titusfied 2004-10-06 02:02 PM

I pwn you all. Hahahah Grav on the off chance that those Bibles hold the truth (off chance) your friend is fucked... He won't be winning the after life lottery, I'll just put it that way.
