Yup, that's why I stopped.

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-17 02:19 PM

You stopped because you can't handle having your ass handed to you. Unfortunately, that's the wrong thing to do. How about instead of quitting, you try harder?

Lenny 2008-12-17 05:14 PM

And in something like this, it makes people do it more, which helps everyone in the end. How nice. :)

Now stop bickering like children.

---

At some point over the next few weeks, I'll get this thing running a few work units. Probably nothing spectacular, but it'll be something.

Goodlookinguy 2008-12-17 07:05 PM

K_A, the honest truth is that my dad yelled at me for the electric bill being higher. That's actually the reason I stopped.

Asamin 2008-12-19 04:48 AM

How about that, now I am catching up! weird.

-Spector- 2009-06-30 10:41 AM

So what the fuck happened to this?

!King_Amazon! 2009-06-30 11:26 AM

I was so awesome everyone else quit.

Well, I can't do it now because when I run folding@home it does not work properly anymore.

SMP on my 3.5GHz Phenom II - 3 instances = 32 points
GPU client on 2 Radeon 4870 X2 - 1 instance = 0 points
Normal client = won't work

Apparently Folding@home was programmed by amateurs. Cause I can't use it anymore.

-Spector- 2009-06-30 11:41 AM

I'm running it currently. Maybe you need to update?

Do better, then. You sure talk a lot of shit.

Wallow 2009-06-30 04:59 PM

I still leave it on

Goodlookinguy 2012-11-15 05:20 PM

I was planning on folding@home all November only as a personal thing, then found out the new client is so much better that I'm probably going to be running it for quite some time to come. Figured I should try and get everyone into it again. For science!

I'm also updating the chart since it was last updated by Chruser four-or-so years ago.
Edit: I updated from the wrong chart apparently. My bad. Fixed...I think.

Why's it called "folding"?

Asamin 2012-11-16 08:33 AM

Because you're computer is folding proteins.

Skurai 2012-11-16 08:35 AM

Proteins? Like, peanut butter???

!King_Amazon! 2012-11-16 09:44 AM

We really need a rule against stupid.

Asamin 2012-11-16 11:27 AM

Please educate yourself Skurai

And I bet even that is way to high level for you.

Skurai 2012-11-17 09:06 AM

WetWired 2012-11-17 05:57 PM
