Speed Drawing I
I came across yet another speed drawing thread last night at Sijun with some pretty remarkable artists, so I thought I could as well start a thread here. Just draw really fast, be it pencil, brush, tablet or mouse, and post the results here. The theme for this thread is "evil". Keep the time for your work down to an hour, tops.
The benefit about drawing fast is that you learn more, pretty much. You learn to simplify things without losing the point behind what you're drawing. Tai is definitely the right person when it comes to knowledge about speed drawing, at least from this board. Anyway, here's my contribution. Some crazy discipline helps too, y'know. As well as willpower. I've been teaching chruser how to draw, so far he's improved quite a bit.

yeah without motivation/discipline/willpower ur never going to get any better. Whenever I see drawings that are good I get the urge of drawing something better myself and then I wont stop drawing untill I'm sort of satisfied with the result (can take a very very long time :P)
what program do u use tai ?? I like number 1, 4 and 8 alot. Did u follow any art classes or anything like that ? |
I'm guessing that most of the drawings are by pc and/or oC?

They are all mouse done, I believe. In paintchat most likely.. although some look done in PS.

I havea 12x12 intuos 2 Tablet (it's a little too big I think, but it works) and I use a program called Paintchat. I use a mouse sometimes to do sketches or warm up, because optic mouses can do different lines then my tablet can. I use them both. Most of those are just a few minutes.
Anyone can have the willpower if they're determined enough. It's all in the mind. |

Face practices from today. They're like 30 seconds or something each. Few of them are more. Emphasis was "Less is more?"
