Why do they always only say "God bless Amercia"? ........... Why can't they say God bless the world.

Because they know americans are stupid enough to go give their money to church?

Because its a national song? ...Its not like anyone every said fuck the world. I think it makes sense to bless your country when singing a patriotic song.

On a side note the title mislead me to believe this thread was going to be much more interesting.

Yeah, of course you would speak about your country in a national anthem. In the Canadian anthem is says "God keep our land"

I am not really talking about national anthem... Like everytime Bush finish a Speech, you know what he will say.

Americans give money to churches because we either; we want to help people or, we're a forced to because everyone else is. They shoud say "God bless the world" but they don't. Why? We believe we are superior to the world and that we are blessed. 9/11 proved this invalid.

It's just like when someone sneezes and you say "Bless you" or "God bless you" etc.

You could say "Bless everyone" every time someone sneezes. It just depends on the subject.

The speaches bush gives are about America, so when he's done he says "God bless America."

It is because America think's it IS the world
therefore God Bless America is quite appropriate.

So if I say "God bless you" when someone sneezes, I think they are the world?

Us saying "bless you" when you sneeze is insignificent and hold's no real importance. Bush saying "God bless America" does. What about our allies? What about the families of foreigners? He should include them as well.

But Bush is not talking about America everytime he give speech. He talk about World peace lately, didn't you see the news?

For a guy like Bush , he never thinks - before he speaks or go on a WAR ...but then you get what you receive , GOD cant take 'rewards' for your actions ( la.. 9/11) .
It appropriate to say 'GOD bless..." when you are screwing the world and you know they would retaliate !
