GameCube or PS2
 

Which one should I get? Give me reasons for getting that one too.

I would stick with Gamecube because it has many awesome games coming out that you can't get anywhere else...Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, and Star Fox.

yea right dude. What about Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil, Turok, and Metroid prime? Its not a lot of mature titles but still...

look at all the other metroid games were they rated m?? no. and yeah stick to cube cuz its got awesome games, like perfect dark 2, zelda, mario, mariokart, star fox, turok and such, and especially resident evil, 6 different RE games comin out for the cube sometime or another.

also, it costs $100 less although it cant play dvd's, hardly anybody has them anywayz. and it can play up to 4 players instead of 2, sure youc an buy the ps2 adapter but thats more money to spend when you could just buy a cube and get that option built in

I am not looking for DVD players cuz I already have 2, and I think I am going to get GameCube. Anyways, since I already have X-Box and I'm getting GC probably all the good games on PS2 will be on X-Box or GC sooner or later.

P.S. I will be getting it in a few weeks.

The only reason I'm even considering picking up a PS2 is because I'm not living with my roommate next year and I've been using his. And even then, the only games I'm interested in are the Legacy of Kain series, Final Fantasy, the Shadowman series, and the Silent Hill series.

I think Gamecube has better Graphics, sound, more memory ( I think) and it has a really sweet controller.

I'll buy one coz it's really cheap, gamepad controller are so nice/easy to use, have a faster processor than ps2, has better graphics, loading access is fast coz of mini-dvd, has promising games with enjoyable characters, don't need additionnal plug to play multi, is GBA compatible, is NINTENDO ...

true, nintendo makes games as well as hardware, whereas sony only makes hardware.

Anyone who says "game cube sux, it doesn't have any games". Go here. Its a list of all the FUTURE RELEASES by nintendo For the Gamecube console. IGN also has a list of all the current games available. After you see this site you will be going O_O

I think the point is that it's still faster. Faster and easier to code for.

the gc runs at 460 MHz while the ps2 runs at 233 MHz. thats about twice as fast.

regardless of wut it runs ps2 has all the greatest line up of companys at there beckon to make the best games ever some of them might make a few games for the other systems but will mainly stay commited to ps2 money= loyalty and sony is rocking the gaming industry. also nitendo always sticks to the same line up look at there games for launch for gc and for n64 almost all the same games remade (think the first waverace would teach them a lesson) if thats all nitendo can do then its only a blast from the past which will never last long I agree some of them are great games but is nitendo ever gonna make a revoulnary step foward (I know they have in the past but were in the present now) or are they gonna keep playing with the non risky elements of there past to try and make a succesful campaign on the other sytems which in my view is better (I've had all three systems and the only one I decided to keep is ps2)
One more thing every day that goes by sony is making compontes for the ps2 (also a ps3) which will close any software/hardware gap on the others
