What should I buy?
 

I just bought a used PS2 the other day, and I am wondering what games does everyone reccomend that are not coming to xbox in the future... you know ps2 exclusive games, I much rather play a multisystem game on xbox, but I got the ps2 for games like FFX and temporilay Vice City, that is until it comes out for xbox with GTA3 and Vice City package during xmas.

Most of the Greatests Hits are just that.

I highly recommend:
Ratchet and Clank
Devil May Cry (the first one)
the .hack series of games (perhaps)
Suikoden III

Avoid:
Futurama
Simpsons Road Rage (Hit and Run isn't bad, though)
Unlimited Saga
Both Zone of Enders games (good, but really short. Rent'em)

Dynasty Warriors 4 (If you like Sangoku games..)

Socom can be pretty fun, offline or online. Dark Cloud 2 is awesome too. But currently at the moment, I'm zoning out. I'll edit with some more later on.

I second all the games listed except NCAA 2004. I really hate those games.

Madden NFL 2004 if you don't have it on Xbox.

Any of the grand theft auto games assuming that you dont have them on your computer.

Anything that is on a comp and console is better on a comp.
I know some will say there is the controller factor that can make a game sux but you can use one on your comp so it fix the problem.

Note : Not to mention comp screen own tv screen.

Can't believe I forgot that one. Dark Cloud 2 and Jak 2 rock also.

Jak 2 has got to be the best platform game I've ever played on a 32 bit console. It's a nice challenge for once.

I don't recomend Jak II. But to each's own or is it to each his own?

MK V or Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance. Its pretty sweet. Try Xenosaga. The music, system, and characters are the shit.

what is wrong with Devil May cry 2? that game is badass but it is really easy. it should ensure at least a week or two of good ps2 fun :D

I'd go with Jak II. Right now it's my favorite game on PS2. If you're a wrestling fan, you'll want to buy Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain when that comes out.

Let's see, instead of suggesting Dynasty Warriors 4, I'd suggest Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends which will be out sometime in the first couple weeks of November. They're both practically the same thing with DW4XL having just more than DW4, besides it'll save you 20 dollars if you get DW4XL. That's it of things that hasn't been mentioned.

top Gun, hella hard, hella fun. But i am really into to planes. GTA is fun also

Yes, but I've heared XL won't have the single player campaigns of the first game. You need both for them. :(

DMC2 just isn't as good as the original. It's not a bad game, but not the greatest either.

Oh, I thought it was gonna have the ones from the first game. Well, he should still check out XL first and if that doesn't have the stages from the first game then I suggest getting that too.

And, if you loved FF Tactics, I'd recommend Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. It's a strangely humorous strategy RPG from the guys who made Ogre Battle.

Dynasty Warriors 4 kicks ass O_O

I think Castlevania Lament of Innocence is fun.I reccomend it for everyone who likes RPGs Castlevania or both.

PS2 is 128-bit...

Rent all of the games suggested before you buy:
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance (if you don't already have it on Xbox)
Rent: Way of the Samurai: it's really short and fairly easy but fun fun fun.
Virtua Fighter 4: if you like fighters
LOTR: Two Towers: a good solid hack n' slash
Tenchu 3 is an excellent ninja game.
Rent: Onimusha and Onimusha 2: short but very sweet.
And of course, GTA3 and VC if you aren't planning on getting the cheaper two-in-one pack for Xbox

Any of these are good for starters, after that you know what you like.

i would buy ffx-2 that game are going to be one of the hot game odf this year i say.

hmm i also recomend DW4 it is quite the awsome game, but i enjoyed red faction one more that 2 mainly cause u can blow Every thing up hehe i used to make tunnels form one end of the stage to the other in multiplayer mode, and u could just dig into the side of a wall then make a hole under u then just stand it it and shoot the poor bots hehe

A game I like that I got to play a little is karaoke revolution.Even though I have an extremely deep voice that makes it impossible to sing songs that are high-pitched I still like it.It has some pretty fun songs to sing like addicted,celebration and crawling in the dark.As long as you are a decent singer you will love this game.

Need for speed is a cool game.. midnight run 2 is ok too
