Thats pretty cool, I guess i'll go outside to watch it.

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:01 PM

It's too late. It's over. Well, it is for my area, anyway. I got out too late to actually see it fully eclipsed. *sigh*

RoboticSilence 2003-11-08 10:07 PM

I was in a movie theater watching Revolutions when it fully eclipsed, but I saw it up until it was about 4/5ths done.

Kuja`s #1 2003-11-08 10:08 PM

Missed it.

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:10 PM

And I'm an astrology nut too. Sigh. Wish I could have seen it for myself.

RoboticSilence 2003-11-08 10:15 PM

I've already seen one or two so it's no big deal to miss this one.

LordZpider 2003-11-08 10:15 PM

Yea, it was awesome, and and some friends were running in a corn maze so we saw the whole thing, kinda cold tho, and i also saw a shooting star tonight, cuz it's dark in a corn field, along with a nice total lunar eclipse you can see ALOT of stars. Lucky me i caught a shooting star too!

D3V 2003-11-08 10:16 PM

Cool, I actually noticed it a few hours ago, but now I realized what it was, lol. GOOD STUFF!

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:17 PM

Must people rub it in? So cruel thou art.

LordZpider 2003-11-08 10:21 PM

whoops if it came out that way, i didn't mean it.

I feel your pain for all of you who missed it, last year i missed the lenoid meteor shower which is coming up again pretty SOON, "check your local listing".

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:23 PM

Oooh. Meteor showers. Those are awesome.

If it's any compensation to you, I saw it.

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:30 PM

Can I have your address so I can injure you? I won't kill you, just give you lots of pain.

I shall never miss another event that has to do with space again!

ask_rabber 2003-11-08 10:33 PM

You sure can, [email protected] would be it.

LordZpider 2003-11-08 10:37 PM

hey, i'm an astronomy freak too, i'm thinking about getting a minor in astronomy, cuz it's only like 18 hours more to a normal Aerospace Enigneering MAJOR, here at U of I.

and on that note, the lenoid meteor shower is november 19th

Jessifer 2003-11-08 10:37 PM

Haaaaaaaw. *pushes her glasses up* Your humor, it amuses me.

Ugh. Headache. :head:

-=Rico-GP=- 2003-11-08 10:38 PM

it was beautiful!!!

but once i was told about it i ran upstairs and outside in bare feet and i stepped on something sharp. Blood.

Ganga 2003-11-08 11:07 PM

, Oh saw it... kinda boring. But anyone see the moonflashing when it is in total eplised?

Jessifer 2003-11-08 11:09 PM

*sobs* I didn't see the total eclipse! It's no fair! Why did Kate have to tell me a half hour late!? I blame her! IT'S ALL KATE'S FAULT!

Mantralord 2003-11-08 11:18 PM

Hmm, odd...I posted a thread announcing the last lunar eclipse. Didnt recieve as much attention as this one. Maybe its me...

Jessifer 2003-11-08 11:21 PM

That's because I wasn't around. *sagenod* Otherwise, it would have been. Because of me being an astrology nut and all. Gotta love space, y0. ^_^

LordZpider 2003-11-08 11:29 PM

it's astronomy not astrology. astrology is like horoscopes.

Jessifer 2003-11-08 11:31 PM

...Oh. You're right. Woo. It's too late. I'm not typing straight.

When is the next lunar eclipse?

RaZ 2003-11-08 11:31 PM

well mine didnt receive attention until after the eclipse was already over

the next one i believe is happening

Oct 28,2004

Jessifer 2003-11-08 11:35 PM

I didn't even know that it existed until the eclipse was over. o.O

RaZ 2003-11-08 11:37 PM

yea that seems to be what happened to most people here..

Mantralord 2003-11-09 12:04 AM

I felt a sudden chill in the air when the warm moonlight was suddenly extinguished by the Earth's engrossed inner shadow.

J_iceman 2003-11-09 03:16 AM

talking about astronomy, anyone saw mars?? it was cool, you had to use a 16 inch telescope though, but its cool, you can actually see the polor caps and that distinctive y shape....i had to buy a 200 dollor eye piece o hook up my digital camera

Sovereign 2003-11-09 12:28 PM

Damn Clouds!!!

Jessifer 2003-11-09 12:41 PM

I have a large telescope, but I can't use it unless I'm somewhere where there's no lights at all.

Cities suck for stargazing.

LordZpider 2003-11-09 01:15 PM

Hehe, i got a girl to drive me out to a middle of a cornfield. I like her so much... shes too nice to me.

Sovereign 2003-11-09 01:43 PM

Anybody knwo when the next one is happening.

Xenn 2003-11-09 03:13 PM

I was too lazy to go out and look.

Kuja`s #1 2003-11-09 07:15 PM

I missed it.

Jessifer 2003-11-09 07:16 PM

Shame on you all.

Kuja`s #1 2003-11-09 07:17 PM

What for?

Jessifer 2003-11-09 07:18 PM

For missing something as pretty as the eclipse.
