Who is getting final fantasy XI and for what system?

I want to get it for the comp, but I'd have to pay my mom extra if I want to keep EverQuest as well. She pays wif credit card and i pay back.

I probably won't get it. I think FF has met it's maker.

Well. It's out now for PC. Did anyone get it?? I think im going to wait a little bit and see how it gets reviewed before buying it.

It's pretty good, but the controls suck.

The controls suck because they are console inspired, but once you get used to it it's ok.

I've had the game for a while now, pretty sweet.

I am getting a Ps2 for Christmas and when I actually have a job I might get that.

No not yet why FF was on a 14 year role.

I think it is dumb how they named it final fantasy when it is never going to stop.It should change it's name to eternal fantasy.

These game are suposed to be a fucken fantasy.
Voice kinda take away a load of the fantasy where the voice are kinda made in your head.

FFXI ? Thats a joke... Each character are suposed to be unique in a fantasy but in that game everyone is the same.
Just imagine the movie lord of the ring with every one of each race all looking the same to the exeption of some color.

Well you remember how i explained that this game cant be no fantasy. Imagine a Zelda without a princess to save and where 1/3 of the ppl look like Link and run arround like a bunch of tard that have no preset personality. A fantasy has a start and a end to make it a fantasy it need to have a start and reach an end. Yet, in a mmorpg you do not start at the beggening and there is no *end*. No actualy point other then to repeat the process of killing same monster over and over to go back to town and restart the same endless loop.

MMORPGs aren't always about kiling over and over. They're also social games. And you interact with other people. That's why FF XI is good. I get to hang out with FF nerds like myself.

Yes, indeed they are much more then just killing monster. They are a trade. You money + social life + lifestyle to play the game. ;)

i'd rather sacrifice my IRL social life, considering how shitty it is. I'm highly paranoid and I don't trust a lot of people. I don't care that i'm ugly in other people's eyes, but I do get tired of it getting to my ears. At least in MMORPGs, I don't have to worry about stupid shit heads talking about my looks. At least these people share the same interests as you.

I also would do what kj said a lot of people do make fun of me and stuff so its always fun to get on the computer and play games with each other.

well, i've been playing FF XI, i suggest that those who had harsh feelings against it try it out. It really is pretty kick-ass.

If you play with your ps2 do you have to pay monthly?????

You will have to pay Square Enix monthly, but for the actual online service, no.

Only Xbox charges for online service for some reason
