Do you people forget I am Catholic? Mary is the Mother of God and this was awful. They degraded Mary, and made Jesus equal to a dead baby chicken's carcass. Next of all, it's sick because only idiots could do something so anti-Catholic and anti-Jesus' mother.

Well, I'm not Catholic, so I didn't vote. However, I don't see what is so bad about it. They're not degrading Mary, nor are they saying anything about Jesus. They're improperly using her as an advertising tool, but it goes no further than that.

The reason you can't realize they are degrading Mary is because you aren't Catholic. I'm not saying that you are stupid in the issue of Catholocism. But Mary was born immaculate and pure. She was clean and she is usually holding JESUS in her arms. What they did was replace Jesus with a dead baby chicken. Now instead of seeming that she is the mother of Christ, she is now the mother of a dead baby chicken.

They're not portraying the chicken as Jesus. They're portraying it as a wrongful thing. They're saying that it is wrong to kill chickens. They're not saying, "Look, she gave birth to a chicken!!!"

Also, not only Catholics know the story of Mary....

I know non-Catholics know the story of Mary. THEY HAVE A BIBLE TOO. But it is wrong in a Catholic's perspective.

It doesn't matter what people do and say, if you believe Mary is born immaculate and pure, then she should be immaculate and pure to you no matter what other people say.

I don't see any connection in Chicken and Jesus. If anything, it is you being too sensitive and thoughtful.

That is just an advertisement, a human-made picture and nothing more than that.

well, a lot of people have been e-mailing PETA about this. They are apologizing (NOT) with auto-replies. I wouldn't be so sensitive about this if they had put Santa Claus or someone else. But it kinda is wrong to use religious figures or peoples to promote any thing like this. Because the Jewish peoples could eat red meat and chickens. So to say that she wouldn't also kinda is very ill in the religious customs of Mary's day.

Catholics church asking for money... Isnt this totaly wrong ? Do you EVEN KNOW HOW RICH THEY ALREADY ARE ? Fuck, all this money that they pass without the gov. getting anything! They dont need more money yet they always ask for more. To me they are nothing more then skilled scammer.

What about when they show you black kid that are starving dirty and all bony. Showing you enought disgust to almost make sick, trying to make other ppl feel bad to get their money. While most of it will not even go to these children.

What about when they bring ppl to talk about incurable disease that start crying on tv to try to get pity from others. So that an organisation can engulf most of the money again to build a vaccine that will most likely not even come to exist during the lifetime of any of the ppl that work on it.

What about when someone is on the road begging for scraps. While if they actualy tried to not be lazy bastard they could get a job and make a life for themself. But no, they have to be a smelly shit that make me want to throw up my meal on them.

You could all see them as wrong doer. But they are in a way all fighting for a cause with the way that is most effective to them. It doesnt mean that it is the right way. It just mean that it's effective.

The funny thing really is that the process of becoming a vegetarian has absolutely nothing to do with immaculate conception.

First of all, not ALL Catholics molest boys. In the scandal, only 1% of the entire Catholic priesthood did. Second of all, other religions have pedophilia problems. And finally, a lot more married men go to pedophilia.

Vegetarians and omnivore humans are wierd. We have both types of teeth for a reason y'know. It's to be adaptable to our environment, and that includes raising animals just to eat them. Logically, it's better to raise it to eat it, then to catch/find it and eat it. Agriculture has been around forever, but we don't see people running around screaming DONT EAT THE PLANTS!! They just relate better to animals, and don't quite grasp why we are what we are. I'd prefer we just cultivate the parts we eat without raising the animal, but we're not quite there yet. :P
