Anyone want some carrots?

Sovereign 2003-12-26 11:29 PM

No. Im still going to eat meat. People bitch and complain "oh those poor animals". Yes i do agree they are mistreated, that should change but what about in the wild. Do you think that wolves have any compassion in killing these animals. No, the rip the throats out. The same thing thats happening in the slaughterhous is happening in nature.

uncapped 2003-12-26 11:29 PM

I lub teh meatz0r.

zeal311 2003-12-26 11:31 PM

Your an idiot. The treatment of these animals and the animals in nature is completely different. For one, wolves don't give their prey special antibiotics to increase growth. The side effects of these pills being horrid pain and failing organs. Wolves dont keep their prey in intolerable conditions for months at a time where they must live in their own filth and the dead bodys of their kind. Dont even compare the two. Ever.

Now, if you want to walk out into the woods and attack an animal and kill it with your bare hands and then eat it. Be my guest. until then stfu and don't try to condone your actions.

Sovereign 2003-12-26 11:39 PM

I will compare then if i damn well feel like it. Notice, that i said that the way that they are traeated is WRONG, and that it should change. I was referring to the slaughterhouse. THing is, the same thing happens in nature that happens there. Animals are killed. In nature, they are mauled to death, in the slaughterhouse they have their throats slit, big deal.

pnaidork 2003-12-26 11:41 PM

i think ill still eat meat. but that was nasty :P

Penguin 2003-12-26 11:45 PM

the poor animals =[ Will someone think of the animals?!

I think someone needs to hack all the major tv networks at prime time and make them watch that video or ones like it, and then i bet theres a sudden outcry for change. Most people dont know / dont care

Are you blind? Did you read anything I just typed? Watch that movie if you haven't yet. The same thing that happens in the slaughterhouse DOES NOT happen in nature. If you think it does than you have been grossly misinformed.

It makes no difference...we're gonna eat the animals no matter what...if they have 2 suffer then so be it...it's not gonna bother me. There are worse things going on in the world 2 be worried about...

And actually...nature does work that way at times...ever watch a spider kill an ant in its web...the ant is still alive for a while and it lives in its own filth until the spider gets hungry.

We?

I'll still eat meat, regardless. It's an addiction!

Xenn 2003-12-27 04:33 PM

Animal meats contain proteins and other nutrients neccessary to proper human life.

Therefore, we are "supposed" to eat them.

Hmm although drugging them up does seem a little.. unappetizing.

Valmar 2003-12-27 04:41 PM

Let's let zeal take the place of an animal in the wild and one in the slaughter house and see which one he would like best. Ok, zeal, your in the wild minding your own buisness and having a bit of watter from the water hole. Next thing you know a crocadile is latched onto your neck spinning around breaking your neck all while your still alive, and even eat pieces of you while your still alive. Now lets take a visit to the slaughter house, your sitting there drinking some water from your troff then BAM, someone slits your throat and you slowly die. Which one seems more painfull to you?? I would say the wild.

My point is, animals can live in the wild and everyday worry about how they will eat and never knowing whast kind of grousome death awaits them. At least is the slaughter house they are safe.. for a while. They are always fed, and if there givin pills and shit them all the better! Leats he will die with a heaveliy altered mind and probably wont feel the pain.

Hades-Knight 2003-12-27 04:45 PM

I have to eat meet for my bodybuilding......Yes i could get the nutrional values from other source slike turkey and tuna but it doesnt taste the same!

zagggon 2003-12-27 04:47 PM

That was really moving and insightfull, thank you Penguin.

Chruser 2003-12-27 05:23 PM

No animal cruelty would make meat prices skyrocket instantly. Those who think vegetarians eat grass aren't informed enough. There's a cheaper suppliment for just about any type of meat, and healthier too. Vegetarian food is just tabu. Personally, I avoid pork and bovine meat and stick to chicken, seafood and fish. It cleans up your arteries instead of clogging them like "normal" meat does.

Please, help me to understand. Did you not watch that movie or do you just refuse to accept the truth. They don't have some magical happy life, drinking water from the troff and then Bam someone slits your throat. If you would have watched one fucking minute of that movie you would realize that is not the case at all. The animals are confined their entire life in a cage just big enough for them. The cattle cannot walk their entire life. They are stuck there and horribly beaten and mistreated every day.

Now, don't get me wroung. I'm not some freak who thinks we should all eat grass and broccoli. I love meat and have no oppistion to eating it. The only thing i think is wroung is the way the animals are raised. If the cows could roam freely and graze their whole life before they were slaughtered it would be much different and I would not be opposed to it. But it's not like that. In conclusion I would much rather be the animal in the wild. Atleast I would be free.

Jamesadin 2003-12-27 10:08 PM

Humans are omnivores, meaning they were meant to eat both meat and vegitables. I will always eat meat. I like it too much.

J_iceman 2003-12-28 03:50 AM

dam i actually saw the whole video, dam i dont even feel like eating meat anymore....imagine that, even if the chickens have a desease, they will STILL cook it !!

!King_Amazon! 2003-12-28 04:08 AM

Valmar, we aren't talking about how bad their death is, we're talking about how bad their life is.

Mmm, just watched it, now I want me a big ole bowl of cancerous beef.
