Bush backs Gay Marriage BAN
Now that's one thing he did right so far.
|
Marriage is based on religion, I havent seen any religion support homosexuality, therefore it would be sacreligious for any priest to marry any gay couple.
|
*-Shivers-*

Gays only want to get married for the benefits. It is not love to them its the money that gos to them when their lover dies. It is insurance benefits and ownership benefits. So not only are they fuckin fags they are greedy. So I am glad that Bush backs Gay marriage ban.
|
It's completly dissgusting to marry someone of the same gender, unless its a female :p

...Do not comment on a subject in which you so obviously know little about, boy. It'll only make you look like a sheltered idiot. Other than that...I will not say anything more than how ignorant this topic is to begin with. *twitch* |

Why the FUCK do any of you idiots care what anyone else does? This is so GOD DAMNED stupid. How can YOU be the person to tell someone else what they can or cannot do? It's like me telling Chrome that he can't smoke weed. If he doesn't harm me, or anyone else, WHY THE FUCK should it matter. I don't sympathize with gays. I just don't give a flying rat's ass about them being "married". If there is a God, let him deal with everyone his way. Becuase if you believe in God, shouldn't you NOT be judging people?
Ignorance. This place is overflowing with it. Oh and... Quote:

Kwhiii.... my friend.
To allow something by law is to say that anyone and EVERYONE can do it. If EVERYONE was gay... there wouldn't be much reproduction... now would there? So basically, it is assanine to allow gay marriage... since marriage has two parts, love and reproduction. |
I think its about time bush did something right.

BTW, what about people who CANNOT have kids... Should they be married? Since marriage has *two* parts as you say... |
I'd have to go with khwiii on this one. How could you be free when you're being restricted by laws that directly impact your personal life? You should be free to marry who you want, just as everyone (myself included) is free to express disgust at the thoughts of gay couples.
Even though I wouldn't do it, I wouldn't think of denying people what makes them happy. |
It's in the bible. Want to be gay? Deal with the repurcussions.
|
Pft. having two gay people marrying each other does in NO way directly affect your life. Why the HELL are people making such a big deal. Its their life not yours. You have absoulutly NO RIGHT to tell them how they should live it.

Honestly, I'm glad that Bush sided that way. All moral reasoning aside, its just my fucking opinion that it is wrong. God didn't enable two members of the same sex to not be able to reproduce on their own for a reason. Gays weren't intended in historical perspectives, obviously.
Ignorance, shmignorance... I think gays are disgusting and immoral, no matter how little they effect my life. Cocaine dealers in Columbia effect me as much as a gay marriage in San Francisco, which is little to none. Of course this isn't the same for everyone, but in my case, it pertains perfectly, and there isn't anything anyone can say to refute that. |
He knows he's losing. This is a desperate attempt for votes.
|
And how would he "Know" he is losing..
|
His acceptance rating is lower than ever.
|
It's not that I'm against homosexuality, that is a part of life and should be accepted, what doesn't fit too well is marriage.
Besides the religion. They say they want the financial benefits.. Why do they think they deserve it? The benefits are for a couple that's going to provide for society as a married couple, point being procreation, the benefits are so the married couple can afford to properly raise children, No offense meant, but I really don't think same sex couples can provide both of the essiential elements to good child development, Mother and father. So that rules out the basis on wanting the financial benefits... or something like that. |

Bush is an idiot if he even think's it has a small possibility of passing. It's completely unconstitutional. The government has no right what-so-ever to tell people who they can and can't marry. It's a decision between two adults who are in love with eachother, and no one else. If two people want to get married, it's their fucking choice. To put an idiotic ban on such a thing as Same-sex Marriages is prejudism.
...IMHO. |

2) Church and state are supposed to be separate anyway, therefore, "God" should not be a part of this. You don't have to be religious, etc to think that it isn't right. I'm an atheist, I'm against gay marriage. 3) It isn't really judging people. They're not imprisoning those that are married, they're just keeping them from being married in the first place. 4) Never say something is stupid because you dont' agree with it, it shows your immaturity. (can someone tell me why this is unconstitutional?) |

Stop telling me what to tell others to do, because you have NO RIGHT to tell me what to say, You are so Ignorance. :haha:

Actually, what he's calling for can't be "unconstitutional", because what he's calling for is a constitutional amendment, which would obviously rectify any such conflict.
Adrenachrome is right about the position of mariage in law. There's nothing stopping homosexual couples from having a mariage cerimony in a chuch that will allow it, and exchanging vows, plenty of homosexual couples do that already in states that don't allow homosexual mariages; the only thing this effects is their ability to claim married status on legal forms. |

Bush is like any human. Any human has the right to their opinion. It just so happens that Bush has the power and influence to make a difference with his opinion, whether us insignificant fucks disagree or not. Its a topic that people feel there is a debate to be had.
Fuck it. I know gays. My ex-girlfriend is a carpet muncher. I still think they are the dirt of the Earth. Opinions are opinions. There would be just as much controversy if he sanctioned gay marriages, than if he didn't, so shut the fuck up about it already. Gays are generally not accepted, and to an extent, hated by the majority of people that don't accept it. This will always be, IMO, and if not, thats a damn shame. |
I dont hate the Gay person as a person, but I hate the gay part of them... like I know someone who is gay and he didnt act like it... so I am fine with it. I dont agree with it, but let him be, but that is as far is I want it to go... Husband and Wife, nothing else!

1-- That's my point. Why shouldn't anyone be able to smoke weed, as long as they aren't harming anyone but themselves. (This statement was directed more at Chrome then anyone else, since I know his stance on weed. ) 2--Please, it isn't about God at all? Does your President go to church every week? Yep. Do you think his thoughts are influence by church? Yep. HELL he was a coke head until he "found" God. 3-- I'm sorry, but if you say "that's wrrong" you've judged that person. Bottom line. You don't have to be in court to be judged. This statement was directed at Christians anyway. 4-- I absolutely did not call ANYONE stupid. I said ignorance. Let's look up the definanition of ignorance.-- The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed.-- Now how does that constitute me saying anyone is stupid? I am generally stating that they are uninformed about peoples rights. And for your last question... You've actually answered part of it yourself, isn't there supposed to be a seperation of church and state? How then, if marriage is a religious ceremony, can the Govenment say it's not right? If this is a government for the people, of the people, by the people, then why is it "gay" people don't have as much as a chance as hetrosexual people? |
I'm glad bush bans this shit. He has some big ass balls to go ahead and do something about it. And elections are comming on too. I have alil more respect on him now for this dear deviling move of his. BAN GAYS BAN GAYS!!!

I say allow gay marriage, but don't call it that.
Also make it illegal for someone who is gay to keep rubbing it in other's fucking faces. That pisses me off to no end. Why the fuck do gays have to prance around and show off the fact? I don't see hetero couples having parades. |
lmao. i hate that also. Waving there hands in the air all fairy like.
