What a great idea, a usergroup that doesn't have a post count, for those pesky spammers that we can't get rid of, but can't bring ourselves to ban...

BTW, the point of the voluntary no postcount group is to show your support for the removal of postcount and to show that you think that postcount is not a valid means to judge a person's contribution to the forum.

everything is same, only thing is. Your post count will not show up in your post. You can see your profile for post, and the activity and longevity is still the same.

Actually, your postcount does not even show up in your profile, but yes, that is the only thing that joining effects.

I agree it's a good idea but I've grown attached to my post count. I've vowed to hit 10K legit before anyone else(and try not to spam my way there.)

Maybe we could just ban people who don't want post count so everyone left can agree on having it.

Excellent, than I am most certainly in. I actually do like my high post count, but not knowing what it is can be more interesting. I will do a check in with it every month or so. :D

Na... I like post count... I still see it as a valid way for new members to judge senior members and will continue to keep my post count. Getting rid of post count may help get rid of some spam but its not helping more then like 30%. I dont even remember the last time someone spammed for post count, when someone spams "You suck *Insert forum member here" in the chat forum or whatever, they are not spamming for post count at all, they are trying to be funny/stupid and i doubt they even think about post count. And if you force them to no post count, i bet they will spam the same unless you also warn them of being banned or something.

I have spammed a couple times, not sure specificly but I did and it had absolutly nothing to do with post count at all. But the fact that you guys want to remove post count Only because you think it will help spam 100% seems like an extremly small, not well thought out reason, there must be other reasons behind it. And on top of all that, I dont even think spam here is a problem right now, Have you guys ever been to some of the other forums? The huge forums? THATS spam.

Spam here is rare in comparison to some forums I have been to. The average mod of this forum trashes what? 1 spam a day? 1 spam every other day? less? (Maybe the chat/general convo mods more and theres also sup mods for that too) but i mean isent that their job. Lets say no one spams anymore, the only thing the average mod has to do is the same exact thing a normal member does, be helpful in that forum. So if you are only saying you want to get rid of post count because of spam then, I think your missing alot.

If we would just punish spammers by temp banning and perm bannings like we are supposed to we wouldent need all this. No post count? Loser group? What is all this crap, why dont we just warn/temp ban/ban not this warning/warning/loser/nopostcount/temp ban/ban ... Thats crap. Although it is always fun to have new things or "toys" for admins/supmods whatever to play with, i dont think its needed, I think people should get warned, temp banned and then banned, no in between crap. It seems stupid if a member refuses to listen to us and says "Well screw zelaron ill keep spamming", so we take away their post count after a warning? No, we should temp ban them, if they keep spamming after a warning then they honestly dont care and they deserve to be temp banned, not post count taken away..... Hehe... Penguins ranting :)

Edit: As for Voluntarily post count removal, thats cool, give members more ways to customize how they visit Zelaron. The more choices the better, I have nothin against it. I just think we should temp ban instead of remove post count. We give people too many chances.
