Before we upgraded their used to be a section of this site called forum stats where you could see the most active poster for the day, month, most active topics, most used OS, and countries where people were from. Is this possible to do with the upgrade? And if it is, has there been any discussion about reinstating it?

That was a spiffy section. I do miss it :(. Anyway of getting it back up?

Well, there was talk about this right at the upgrade, since it was a relatively popular viewing option. Basically, it was said that if WW got around to it, he would reinstate it, but it was just a bother at the time and there were a lot of other pressing upgrades first. I think it was forgotten about though.

Wetwired, any way we could get that up in the future? Or shall i give up all hope Y_Y

This and my points system is what we need most. And a warning system.

I think a warning system would get abused too much... Its been talked about a lot. I like the other two though.

Take aim for example.

Ive actually had very little incidents of little fucks abusing the warn button. Maybe users at zel can learn to responsibly use it?

Although, we want a points system/stat section! That would freaking rock, and I'm currently looking for a forum that has those because Zelaron is letting me down.. =\

There was a great stats hack released on vB.org for vB3. ;)

Yep. I just wanted to know if there are any plans of the old style stats being implemented any time soon?

It is only getting done if WW has free time. I guess he hasn't had much.

I remember WW telling me he needs to code the activity hack and the longevity hack again for the newest version of vBulletin. And untill he does recode that hack, the board will remain under the beta version.

Yeah, I was planning on spending my week off working on the forum, but then I got Stargate SG-1 DVDs... And now I'm so hooked on Morrowind again that I don't even have time for RO...

Also, I don't even remember all the hacks I've made. I was keeping instructions for all of them, but they got lost in a HD wipe...

Thread expires after "X" days is one off the top of my head.

That is the expiration hack.

The forum icons management is a hack, but the icons themselves work without it. I actually never got arround to re-writing the management hack.

I want to keep this topic alive, and not getting buried again.

Okay guys, I am gathering up the hacks and re-writing their installation instructions for the upgrade to vB3.0.3. So far, the sig hosting, activity/longevity/rank, and regarding hack are ready, and the expiration and D2 Marketplace hacks will be quick work tomorrow. The forum icons are done completely in the templates and so are an instant port. Does anyone know of any custom behavior that I haven't listed above?

I want that "useless imp" title that Zelaron used to give back.

Also, I want the no post count thing removed. I like to see how many posts people have. Quite honestly, not having a post count doesn't do anything for you. More than likely, new members will judge you how they want with or without the post count, and the older members know who you are anyway, so the no-postcount group serves no purpose in my opinion. It's rather irritating to myself, and to some other members I'm sure, especially the newer members so they know where to turn. Also, I just like to see how many posts someone has. The Forum Stats wouldn't be as good unless you could see how many posts someone has. Ehh, whatever. That's just my opinion. But the useless Imp thing definitely needs to come back.

There isn't one yet. It is in the process of being created and implemented.

You completely miss the whole point of everything I do...

In any case, I can't say at this point everything that you will be able to buy, but the glowing titles are most likely in (never mind that only IE users will see them...), and at least at first you will be able to buy other members into loser and no-postcount-like user groups, at least untill I get arround to implementing the member rating system, which will require currency to use. As for the avatar titles, I don't see that many people would buy them, they wouldn't stand out like the rankimage does or the member rating will.

Hmm... I have a great idea...let people pay to fuck arround with eachother's postcounts untill they are rightfully seen as the meaningless BS they are :killgrin:

How can we have glowing titles when the titles are those gay hover shits? Can you even make a glowing hover title??

What do you mean? You can make anything glow that has tranparent regions and you can put in a table cell.

He meant the titles are a alt="$title" he wants thoses to glow. Making the content inside at alt="" glow can not be done.

Well, here are a couple of other things I'd like to see changed/implemented.

• Forum Stats
• Get rid of the 7 character rule
• Add a shout box
• Allow people to post in all caps -- it allows you to put emphasis on what you're saying, and if they abuse that then warn them/ban them or whatever course of action you want to take
• Fix the "views" of a thread. There will be plenty of times when views say 0 when it's been viewed a lot more times.

That's all I can thing of at the moment. There are some other things, but I can't remember what they were. I'll let you know once I remember.

I doubt the 7 char rule will be taken off, we used to have a shoutbox, but since the upgrade it has gone away. Plus is was never implamented on the syth style when they did have it. Post in all caps wouldn't bother me, i didn't even know we couldn't post in caps. 'THIS IS A CAPS TEST'
The views of threads are updated with a cron i belive, there not updated right away, i think its every hour or 30 mins.

Post again in all caps, but have your entire post consist of nothing but caps.

Not really, I actually do like VB3. There's just a few things that bother me, but other than that it's pretty good.
