Interested in Zelaron Fantasy Football?
 

Alright, every year I do a Fantasy Football league and it is a great time. I just wanted to know if there are enough members here at Zelaron that like the NFL season enough to start our own, free league?

It would be simple. First, you sign up in here. After we get enough people, we would draft a pick location, then after preseason is done, we would do the actual draft. The scoring would be done according to how my league does it, that way no calculations are needed, and I could just post the results from CBS Sportline here.

So, who is interested in playing Fantasy Football, for fun of course. But you have to at least know your shit, so it is semi-competitive. I can think of a few people that I think would be interested, but I don't know if we have enough.

That's the problem though. I don't want to have to teach anyone. If you don't know football and the who is who in the league, then this is definitely not for you.. :(

However, if you do know your shit, but don't know what Fantasy Football is all about, that is not a problem to teach.

So, Great-Thanatos, you just don't know what Fantasy Football is? You do know the rules of the NFL, all the good players in each position, and what teams they play for though? I just want to make sure, before I go into the specifics of Fantasy leagues.

Do you just want to make a league at Yahoo, or another website that is free. You can adjust what counts for points and how many they are worth. Otherwise your way seems good too. If we go yahoo, I think you can have 8 teams.

Do they have free hosting though? If they do, that would work too, but I didn't think they did. Check it out for me.

On Yahoo its free to make a league, you just need a yahoo mail account which is also free. So if you have that you can create a custom league. They have a free league and a paying league. From what I see the only difference is that on the paying league you get up to the minute stats. Also for these leagues we can do a draft here or in an aim chat room and then input everyones players.

well i dont really care, i hate soccer and football and stuff like that...

have fun, ill try to follow it a bit, but if it gets too complicated i'll just ask who's the winner when its all over.

I will sticky this thread to keep everyone aware that this is finalized. If for some reason, you need to back out, make sure to update in this thread.

I am making a league on Yahoo right now, and I will do the point system as I see fit. If, when I'm done making the league, you don't like the layout, we can decide as a whole if it will get changed or not.

I will make a thread later specifying the rules, point system, draft, etc. I will most likely PM everyone the link, as well as the League name and Password on Yahoo.

Are we going to do a live draft either here or chatroom? Or just do the yahoo draft where we rate and it picks our team.

We will do our own live draft in a Chatroom. The date will most likely be Sunday September 5, 2004, but the actual time will be determined later.
