u mean still on lad? i hope so, coz i still needa lvl my sorc alot, anf omfg, Season 1 went for like 3/4 of a year probly more.. #2 has only been like 2 months omg -.-

It scared me for a second, season 1 went to season 2 and season 2 went to NL for like 4 minutes..

If only people were aware of this, i could've xfered an enigma on my ladder2.

actually more people than you know did. A LOT of posts have been made about it and in the matter of minutes, we got one hell of a lot of people x-ferring

hey what are u talking about? what happened? did the ladder chars get deleted?

it seems for a few minutes ladder supposetly ended and they became non ladder cahracters... during that time.. people tranfered their nonladder 290s, 32020's galegasps etc. to their ladder characters which is now restored.. godly duped in ladder now

Everyone freaked out and assumed that when the Ladder chars became non-ladder, that they reset the ladder. Dunno if you were on earlier, all realms went Realm down and Lines are now like no more than 50-70

Oh mighty fuck, it could be just as bad in reverse...

This means that item stores, who MIGHT'VE discovered the 23 new runewords for Ladder Only (since they'd have the resources), could've xferred said items to Nonladder in the confusion...

That would be a MAD profit, since they'd be the only ones to have them, and the Nonladder shmucks CAN'T MAKE THEM. Imagine the fucking money they would make...

wut exactly happened though? did blizzards server crash, maybe someone found a way to crash the server to do just wut everyone tried or accomplished doing, anyone got some thoughts on that theory?

This is what I gathered:

A team of hackers destabilized the realms to the point where they were able to merge ladder/nonladder for something like 6 minutes. They then proceeded to xfer old 08 dupes/imported/perfect stat items to Ladder characters (think of 08 gazes, 290's, 3/20/20's, Armageddon Fletch, etc...).

Apparently, some other people caught on in that time and did the same. This irritated Blizzard, who rolled back the realms.

That's the most complete picture I could gain from the confusion of posts on the 'net, so it may not be 100% accurate, but should be pretty close.

When you say blizzard rolled back the realms.. does that mean the xfered stuff went back to normal or did it stay on ladder?

Pretty much the rollback means that all items are going back to where they were before. So all the nonladder items should return back to nonladder.

They reloaded data from an earlier back-up. Basically, they likely rolled it back somehting like 6 hours, so anything that happened after that would be like it never happened.

If they were even remotely intelligent, they likely were running proxies and whatnot...

Also, the whole realm rolled back, so it was as if it never happened.
