Who do you think is going to win the superbowl?

The Bengals.

Solid running game, with a newly improved defense. The recievers are going to be incredible, if new QB Carson Palmer turns out to be promising, then the Bengals are going to kick ass. So much balance.

The Jacksonville Jaguars.

Reason's why

The Jaguars off-season changes and the year's past changes are going to greatly affect how they get to the superbowl. With the addition of Byron Leftwitch and the genius of Del Rio moving him to starter to give him the necessary experience that he is going to need he will definately step up.

Fred Taylor was healthy all year, and had a career season with 1500 yards. Jimmy Smith has been working very hard during the offseason and is down to 190 lbs. Del Rio and a few other coaches say that he has got a whole step faster, (which is fucking awesome). Reggie Williams was the Jaguar's first pick, and the 9th pick overall. He is compared to T.O. (Terrell Owens) and has been stepping it up and catching balls over the smaller CBs.

The Jaguars defense was 2nd in the leauge last year in Run Defense. They didn't allow a 100 yard rusher except against the first game against Buffalo and against Baltimore when Lewis ran for like 103 yards. They already have the great Donovin Daruis and a new great CB Rasheen Mathis. They signed Tony Brackens and a few LBs during the draft.

Jacksonville's Punter is back from the freak accident last year when he split his leg with an axe in the lockerroom.

So many people are starting to jump on Jacksonville's bandwagon, there have been a few ESPN analysts that have picked Jacksonville to go to jacksonville for the superbowl. I mean damn, they were 14-2 in their 4th season in the NFL. The jaguars are capable of GREAT things, and they are going to suprise alot of people this year.

That, and their schedule isn't too hard, and winning the division means they have to be the 'Colts, big whoop.

Enough comparisons. Let's look at stone cold facts.

Philadelphia Eagles.

Not only have they been in the NFC Championship for the last 3 years in a row, during this most recent off-season, they quite possibly made the most noise. Jevon "The Freak" Kearse and Terrel Owens (T.O.). Even last year, with an injury riddled season, we still put together a team that was a capable Superbowl contender.

Dawkins is back in perfect health.
Westbrook is back in perfect health.
Kearse has added depth to our D-line.
McNabb supposidly isn't feeling any recurring pain in his ankle.
T.O. just adds straight up ass kicking.
Freddie Mitchell proved that he is a reliable go to WR for the full season.

If the Eagles can stay healthy, they are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. I don't see any team in the NFC that can possibly take out the Eagles, but the AFC is another story. They have a lot of depth, but whoever represents them will be in a for a huge surprise, and I honestly hope it is pretty boy Tom Brady and the P-men that get their asses handed to them.

Whoever wins the pregame Madden match is going to win, as usual.

kockblocker1 2004-08-10 05:17 PM

I pick Bud Light.

The Arizona Cardinals.....

*sigh* Arizona is not the best state to live in for football.

Penny_Bags 2004-08-10 07:46 PM

Jesus Christ Slim, you are such a fucking moron! And I have no grasp of sarcasm!!

THE BENGALS vs THE EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!11

Penguin 2004-08-10 11:19 PM

ack... I need to get more sleep so I dont make anymore mistakes like that...

d3v: yeap.... It sucks. He hurt it while warming up I guess and the team is waiting to hear back about it. The cards really need to start playing better. Green says hes seen a lot of progress but we've heard that before -_- I dont know what to expect.

Grav 2004-08-10 11:23 PM

Totally. I mean, when the Cowboys went against Wonder Woman in '76, they had lost their star QB. Hopefully the Deck can pull itself together before their asses get royally flushed.

Penguin 2004-08-10 11:27 PM

Well Wonder Woman did cheat when she called in Aquaman to crush the QB. I think Aquaman came riding atop two different dolphins and a whale and just landed right on him before the snap. It took two Digletts and a random digimon to dig him out of the ground.

That play was complete bullshit, because the Ref only called a 10 yard penalty. In hockey that shit would get you put on ice. I saw Disney on Ice once, it was pretty good. The entire place smelled with merryjuana.

Penguin 2004-08-10 11:29 PM

Which Disney on Ice did you see? Where did you sit? I think I saw you, I was wearing a grey shirt.

Grav 2004-08-10 11:32 PM

I had a "West Coast Choppers" hat on. (R.I.P. 2pac) It was Baz Luhrmann's rendition of The Lion King.. "Lion + King."

Penguin 2004-08-10 11:39 PM

Oh that sucks. I could of sworn I saw you. I went to the jungle book one.

Grav 2004-08-10 11:42 PM

However, the Bucs have an aging defense and overall squad that resembles the "old" Raiders.

Penguin 2004-08-10 11:45 PM

The Vikings look a lot better than the Packers on defense. Both of them have the offensive firepower to rank in the top five. That's not the issue.

tokill.ace 2004-08-11 12:11 AM

bucs fell apart a lil bit they had a dominating team until they sold 1/2 of theyre players.

undeadzombieguy 2004-08-11 12:28 AM

-----------------

D3V 2004-08-11 12:18 PM

Well the bucs have signed Tim Brown, that'll definately help, but they've also lost alot, (warren sapp)

uncapped 2004-08-11 02:12 PM

Chiefs vs. Eagles in championship. Just because I wanna see it.

Titusfied 2004-08-11 05:03 PM

That would be my dream come true. I basically just wanna see the Eagles in the Superbowl, but if we lose, I seriously might kill someone or something. It's been too long, and in my lifetime, I haven't seen a championship.

I'm 22.

That's pathetic that a city with all 4 major sports hasn't seen a championship in over 22 years..

Penny_Bags 2004-08-12 03:44 PM

Ehhh.... yeah it is. No way around that, pathetic... poor Titus.
