Somebody fucking catch me up

I don't feel like researching all this myself. I do plan on playing this game, but hopefully I will be able to keep myself from playing it as obsessively as I did D2. Anyway, someone catch me up with races, stats, good stuff, and stuff like that. Just summarize what's been going on in the WC3 world, because I literally know nothing on the topic.

Grav 2004-10-13 07:34 PM

Orcs are green.

kockblocker1 2004-10-13 07:34 PM

Trolls are blue.

Demosthenes 2004-10-13 07:36 PM

Damn it, I don't feel like looking up all of this. Can't someone be kind and summarize?

kockblocker1 2004-10-13 07:37 PM

This one too:

I would do a much better version of what Volls did except there is one problem, I dislike you.

Demosthenes 2004-10-13 09:16 PM

Thank you Volls. I guess I'm really behind. I need to catch up.

Oh, and Zagggon, please continue to dislike me. If you ever start liking me, I might have to go through baptism or something just to cleanse myself. And do you really think I care whether or not someone who can post utter crap (Http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16650) likes me or not?

zagggon 2004-10-13 09:20 PM

Hey thats one of my many works of art your refering to there fuck face, you just duno brilliance when it stares you in the face. Oh and I dun care if you dun care, wana be gay? You see, it's a forum, With many people that will never see each other, and perhaps a few that are fat people that refuse to show their pic (like Grav) so I could really care less about the whole "Ill never like you thing" anyways since IT DOES NOT MATTER.

Demosthenes 2004-10-13 09:29 PM

Then why do you bring it up?

And here's another example of your brilliance: http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17125

iceman887 2004-10-13 09:36 PM

Slim 2004-10-13 09:48 PM

zagggon 2004-10-13 10:20 PM

I bet you are fat Slim, I bet you are. Lmao I would love to have your pick up there, of course im sure you will never put it up since you prolly weigh about 300 pounds and have fucking kinkles.

I didn't provide much useful info in that post, and I lost power to my PC while typing a response with a summary of all the Classes.

I'll try again in a bit.

Demosthenes 2004-10-14 02:22 PM

Thanks, Volls.

timmay1113 2004-10-14 02:56 PM

seeing as you loved our barb so much in D2, you would probably like to be the warrior in WoW. You did like sorcs too so you could go for the mage. Just pick one of those and go to www.worldofwarcraft.com and read a little about it.

Vollstrecker 2004-10-14 04:36 PM

The gameplay is vastly different. Think of mixing D&D, Diablo, and a few elements from a FPS game into it.

Everyone will develop a different playing style, so picking a class is a bit more difficult than one would think. ;)

Grav 2004-10-14 04:39 PM

Barbarian =! Warrior

In fact.. it rarely resembles D2 ... no reason to compare them

zagggon 2004-10-14 05:11 PM

I heard that the new patch in WoW totally fucked over the warrior... Thats a shame :(

Vollstrecker 2004-10-14 05:16 PM

Just bugs, mainly.

Weapon attack delays are currently factored in before your first swing, instead of after. If you have a big slow weapon, and you're using Charge to generate rage/get you to the enemy, you need to figure out something else until it's fixed. This affects all classes.

Also, the hit/miss ratios seem to be off for all classes as well. The addition of item durability and the nerfing of Hamstring is getting people to bitch loudly, is all.

That, and the fact that there is only so much good Armor will do for you, as monsters all have a "minimum" damage they will deal to you, based on their level.

timmay1113 2004-10-14 08:02 PM

I really want to play the hunter but i hear they blow quite a bit at the moment

Vollstrecker 2004-10-14 08:08 PM

They're not that great for grouping.

They really lack any specialization other than ranged.

timmay1113 2004-10-14 08:10 PM

well they are also fairly new and are missing stuff such as talents and so forth. I have been reading the forums and they are quite weak at the moment

Vollstrecker 2004-10-14 08:13 PM

They have talents.

timmay1113 2004-10-14 08:15 PM

i just read a post that was made by a blizzard person yesterday. It was a sneak peak for talents. He posted it yesterday so i dont think they have talents, or at least they are missing some. I thought from what i was reading they havent had them yet but i guess you are playing it so you would know more.

Vollstrecker 2004-10-14 08:17 PM

Wait, you're right.

All I heard was the incessant bitching of the Paladins, and thought that the Talents were already implemented.

Hunter talents are coming NEXT patch.

timmay1113 2004-10-14 08:19 PM

Yeah all the hunters on the forum are bitching like crazy because the last patch nerfed them and they already sucked lol. They think that talents shouldnt be the reason for it though. That they shouldnt be so weak even without the talents so i dunno. What is the difference between a talent and a skill?
