Final tally - Who is going what in retail?
Shaman here.
Going Mining/Blacksmith for tradeskills. |
Still sorta stuck between Rogue and Shaman. I'll make Shaman first during retail probably and if I don't like it later on I'll try to...catch up on a Rogue I guess. Skinning/Leatherworking for my chars.
same classes or maybe warrior and i will probably do tailoring or mining/blacksmith
Mining/Engineering definately; not as lucrative as blacksmithing, but someone has to do it, and there are some cool things in the higher levels.
I really like the troll/mage combo, but I may do something different. Maybe a hunter so I can use the guns I make; if I go hunter, I'll probably still do troll. |
It matters not whether you win or lose; what matters is whether I win or lose.
I'd say avoid warrior for now. Major gimpness.
Troll/Rogue Skinning/Leatherworking First Aid as a secondary (these don't count towards proffessions, right?)
You can get all three secondaries, as well as two professions.
Good to know, that'll definately help the small bit of downtime I have in combat.
Either a warrior all out or a mage, have not decided yet. A question for those of you who had blacksmithing as one of your professions, was it easy/worthwhile? I ask because I played as a mage and never got to try the typical blacksmith/miner warrior build.
I am decided. I am going Orc Hunter. Engineering/Mining.
I just need to know what server to go on come Tuesday. |
I feel like a poser. But I will probaly go Shaman/Orc with Leather/Skinning as main.
And a Druid/Tauren ?/? for secondary to make money. |
Either Warlock or Mage. Undead. Tailoring/Something else. Not sure what yet.
Undead priest........ tailoring and..... something
Lots of tailors?
well they seem so good, you can make all this armor with more stats on it than just defense right?
I'm definately going troll/mage miner/engineer now.
Undead Warlock or Priest, not sure which. I'll be decided by the end of the weekend, hopefully. Tradeskills I'll take up Tailoring and Enchanting, maybe. Or maybe Tailoring and Engineering, and have a second character for Mining.
We should try and pool the linen to one person at a time, get them out of the linen stage first and continue doing that for the rest of us. Once we get to the wool or something a little more scarce we could fend for ourselves, but there is plenty of linen at the beginning and it would probably work well to pool it. |
Sounds like a good idea for the linen thing... But then again... How do you decide who gets it first? Everyone would want it first.
Oh well, just a question. Doesn't concern me because I won't be playing with you guys. |
Simple way to solve that problem, the tailors meet up and do /random 100. Go in order of rolls.
i might do tailoring and mining or herbalism... im not too sure

ill change if you want me to, i don't really care because i always use the potions i make i mean the healing one, since u can heal yourself in combat, it is good for escaping
i was going to go tailoring/ herbalism but i will go herbalism/alchemy now, undead priest, i will do that 100 % sure now
I was first eng, and I was eng first. It is my decision to continue playing the same char that I've played since the beginning. As for the whole linen thing, I speak from experience when I say that it's best to ignore your trade skills 'till lvl 12 or so, at which point you can easily handle most monsters in Durotar, even if they gang up on you. Then you can mine/hunt humanoids much more efficiently and get the resources you need to level up tradeskills fast
By level 16 when I decided to do a little grinding to test myself a bit, I could easily get 60+ linen before I had to return to town to drop off loot.
EDIT: This was from killing Razormane Geomancers, Defenders, and Mystics. |
yeah they give a crap load of linen, but still everybody doesn't need to do the same professions
I could probably do tailoring/alchemy if you want. I definetly want to keep tailoring though.
Alchemy without herbalism would be a dumbass move.
If you're going tailoring, might as well get a gathering skill to be useful to the tradeskillers, and for some extra coin.
What gathering skill would you recommend?
I'd say Mining but we have enough mining competition as it is.. maybe skinning or herbalism... the high level herbs sell very well.
I vote myself as the poorest son of a bitch in the guild.
My tauren druid will have alch/herbalism and i can help you guys out on him if you want.
I'm going UD Rogue Skinner / Leather, I tried NE Rogue Skinner/Leather during beta and liked it.
Shaman weapon smith wewt
Good joke. Ha ha.
Im going to go herbalism and alchemy.
