Bartending
 

I just took a 40 hour course on bartending and scored a 98 on the New York States test for Bartending in local pubs, resturants, clubs, etc. Tonight i worked my first gig and made 50 pucks in a half hour and 100 in 45 minutes. I was wondering what you guys thought of bartenders? So u like them or think that they rip you off?

When I went to bars in canada they were pretty cool. I think of them no differently then I would people working at a burger king or something.

Its not like the bartenders have anything to do with the crazy prices of bar alcohol, and the tips come with the territory.

Never knew bartenders made such good cash unless they were hot girls with large tits.

Sell someone enough alcohol and everyone looks like a hot girl.

Which brings up the next question ...have a lot of fellas touching your chest? :P

I know a girl, going off to Uni in September, who does bartending/waitressing. She gets really annoyed because (this being Rossendale) she ends up serving really perverted old men. They all say things like: "You can clean me up any day" - she clears away the plates, geddit?

Nevermind. Perverted old English Men must have one of those weird senses of humour.

If "you can clean me up any day" is that offensive she is a prude :o.

I don't know what bars you are working at, but here you will get deaf, also you need to know how to read people's lip to serve drinks.

It's offensive the way these dirty old men say it. You know, really suggestively.

And if you were a 17 y/o girl, would you want 40 y/o men hitting on you? Seriously?

I worked at a club last night called CPI out in the hamptons from 8 to 4. It was insane, hot chicks, booze everywhere and undercover cops. One tried to order a drink from me, but after asking for his ID, he pulled out his licensecand whispered that he was undercover. So i didnt serve him and i didnt go to jail last night. Made 100 dollars too.

Why would you have gone to jail if you'd have served him?

Most undercover cops at clubs are not of age here on Long Island. So if u serve a minor, and he happens to be a cop, or he witnesses you serve a minor, he can take you away. Sorry for not explaining that.

It's complete bullshit. Had to say it before anyone else did.

I bet most american guys, ages 18-21, can out drink most european men the same ages. We hold our booze very well and i cant see an Amercian stop drinking until we fall over. I know i wouldnt stop drinking even if it meant really hurting myself, if a european was beating me. I only lose to americans dammit

Don't forget we do have Germany. They consume the most alcohol in the world.

And I know a lot of 16 y/os who go out every single night drinking.

EDIT: And we have the French. They're taught to drink wine from a very early age. American vs. French in a wine drinking contest, and the Frenchies would win. :p
