Dream Cars

Starting a new thread for everyone to post there dream cars.

Mine is a 1995 Mazda RX-7. In case you guys don't know the car RX-7 stands for Rotary Experiment 7. It has a 1.3 litre engine and uses 2 rotors. Also, it can accept 16psi, being a 1.3 and accepting that much turbo means a shit ton of hp and the RX-7's just look so god damn bad ass.

WetWired 2007-04-25 09:34 AM

The FDs look nice. The FCs look kind of average. I hear that RX-7s require a lot of maintenance to keep them running efficient.

Myself, I hope to buy a Lancer Evolution some day.

JoshTheftAuto 2007-04-25 09:59 AM

Ya, the FC's were more 80's then 90's. The FD has a much better body and was made to be a super car haha. I'm gonna twin turbo it with a large and small turbo to help with the low end cause high-end hardly needs any help. You can drop it down to 4th gear and burn out still. My friends dad had one and he sold it cause he though he was going to kill himself hahahahhaa.

The Evo's are pretty nice, my friend had a silver one for a while. He couldn't afford it anymore though so he went with the Honda Civic SI and turboed that baby up, then he blew his engine block and put it back to stock and he's selling that now.

WetWired 2007-04-25 10:10 AM

I wonder if there's any supercharger+turbocharger kits out yet? I heard that they were doing that for a production car, but I don't remember which one. I guess it's too complicated to kit, though, really.

JoshTheftAuto 2007-04-25 11:37 AM

Ya, I'd rather just make it easy and put those 2 turbos on. Maintenance is pretty shitty on RX-7's as you said. To keep it running solid you should replace the oil like every 2,000 miles, get a fuel management system, I may get a 3 or 4 rotor engine in place of the stock one, I'd probably kill myself with that though cause it'd be too damn fast.

!King_Amazon! 2007-04-25 12:18 PM

My dream car is a car that runs off of air and never ever needs maintainance and lasts forever and costs $1

WetWired 2007-04-25 01:06 PM

So you like walking is what you're saying?

Sovereign 2007-04-25 02:05 PM

Any 99-03 Toyota Avalon or Camry. Fully loaded and all. I like how older cars look.

Asamin 2007-04-25 03:35 PM

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.

http://web.bentley.edu/students/t/tariq_zoha/13894.jpe

Dubbed "The Silver Arrow". Not surprising, really. Bitch to handle though, I think.

!King_Amazon! 2007-04-25 04:03 PM

Hell yeah, I want that car.

Lenny 2007-04-25 04:06 PM

Be warned - the brake pads catch fire if you brake too hard at a fast speed. :p

Dar_Win 2007-04-25 04:11 PM

Bugatti Veyron

Lenny 2007-04-25 04:13 PM

Did you hear about the fucktard who crashed one? And it wasn't even his!!

You talking about the actor that crashed that multi-million dollar car recently?

kaos 2007-04-25 11:18 PM

85 - 89 Caprice

Something like this, though (Of course will be customized by me):

WetWired 2007-04-26 07:53 AM

Why the hell would you raise a car?

!King_Amazon! 2007-04-26 08:23 AM

Well abandoning it at a young age isn't a very nice thing to do.

MightyJoe 2007-04-26 08:42 AM

Lenny, it appears you beat me to posting that car. So you have really great choice, I just wish I could come up with the 300,000 for one of those.

I could've sworn that the actor crashed an Enzo, didn't he?

The idiot who smashed the Bugatti did it in a 30mph zone, down South, in heavy rain. Gunned it past an estate, skidded a few times, smashed into a Vauxhall Astra, which tore the nose to shreds, and eventually came to rest on the banking. He'd hired if for £20,000 ($40k) for the day.

-----

I don't suppose you've seen the Top Gear episode where Clarkson test drives the SLR, have you?

WetWired 2007-04-26 10:08 AM

I remember that. "Now what good is all that power, if it's capped at x MPH" "it passes like a dream"
'course, I'm sure you can disable the governor.

MightyJoe 2007-04-26 11:36 AM

Yea, it was Eddie Griffin, who smashed the directors Enzo, which was well over the million dollar price tag, of that Bugatti. I also want to say there were only like 400 Enzo's made, so that thing is basically gone, however I'm sure the Bugatti was also a limited number of productions.

Lenny 2007-04-26 03:30 PM

Originally it was 300 Bugatti's, I think. But more are being made - the list of people who want one is phenomenally huge. They cost £5 million to manufacture, and are sold for a whopping loss, at £800,000 ($10mil and $1.6mil respectively).

gruesomeBODY 2007-04-26 04:23 PM

I want an enzo. I actually have sat in one, but the owner wouldnt let me drive it. Probably smart on his part

Lenny 2007-04-26 04:54 PM

The closest I've got to being in a supercar, is sitting in a Porsche 911. :(

We've parked up alongside a few Ferrari's and Lambo's in the past few years, though, and recently we had an F430 drive up the land a few times. That was great to watch! :p

Grav 2007-04-26 06:33 PM

I have no dream car. :(

WetWired 2007-04-26 06:45 PM

After I've paid off my Evo, I'll probably start saving up for an Atom, the supercar a normal person can actually afford.

klo 2007-04-27 07:56 AM

I'm not really a car person...but I like the new mercedes that have the flip up doors (the owner of my company has one) and I've always wanted a B.E.N.T.L.E.Y :)

Lenny 2007-04-27 09:53 AM

Which Mercs is it with the Gullwings? I know the SLR has them, but didn't know that others do.

And what type of Bentley? There's loads of them! The Continental is a nice one. Top speed of 200-and-something, corners like a dream, and yet you can sit in the back with a cup of tea, and it won't spill. :p

Same goes for the Rolls Royce Phantom. Now there's a car which gives meaning to the word "overkill".

WetWired 2007-04-27 10:00 AM

There's no car that won't spill a cup of tea in the back seat while taking a fast corner without the help of an exceptional driver.

Lenny 2007-04-27 10:04 AM

What if the cup has a lid? ;)

If it's a sharp corner, then even the Gods have no chance. But if it's a wide, sweeping corner, then there's every chance. Haven't a clue if you get the Top Gear mag in America, but they tried it a few times - Bentley Continental absolutely gunning it down their track, and round a few of the corners with Clarkson in the back drinking tea.

JoshTheftAuto 2007-04-27 11:44 AM

Top Gear is funny, I watch the tv show all the time with that guy. He looks a bit strange though lol.

JoshTheftAuto 2007-04-27 11:46 AM

You guys know that they refused to sell Tom Cruise the Enzo only cause of the requirements for a person to buy one. If I remember correctly you have to have owned 3 different Ferarri's before you can buy an Enzo. Tom Cruise wanted one bad and that shut him down lol, I love Ferarri for that.

Grav 2007-04-27 12:28 PM

Tom Cruise is a freak.

Lenny 2007-04-27 04:35 PM

There's three guys...

How many series behind us are you guys?

Willkillforfood 2007-04-27 11:15 PM

My dream car is all the money taken to buy your dream cars put together ...and me just buying a little geo metro and keeping the cash.

Mantralord 2007-04-28 10:11 PM

Mantra, I am really impressed by the track you're on. In a few years you may be able to recite "Itsy Bitsy Spider".

Lenny 2007-04-29 11:59 AM

Isn't it "Incey Wincey Spider"?

Grav 2007-04-29 12:52 PM

Maybe in the land of fags and biscuits.
