Your political preference?

Just as the Title says, what is your political preference? I know we have a pretty diverse group of people in here, so why not? Sound off your Views :)

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 09:11 AM

I said undecided but I'm not undecided, I just choose not to decide. I don't think you can categorize the many opinions that exist. It isn't like if I'm against abortion I'm going to be against gay marriage too. There are so many unrelated topics, and so many combinations of answers to those topics.

D3V 2007-09-27 09:12 AM

Well, what side are you registered to? What side would you vote for?

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 09:19 AM

I'm not going to vote for a "side" I'm going to vote for a "person."

I'm not registered for anything yet.

D3V 2007-09-27 09:32 AM

Ah yes well, I'm not overly impressed with either sides of the ballot. Less-so with the Republicans, it's going to be VERY difficult for them to win this time around with the track record of how shitty Republicans have been in the past.

I'll likely still Vote for Obama, but shit may change, I wish he'd announce a runningmate.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 09:36 AM

I really wish there were some valid candidates that were neither republican nor democrat, myself. Jesus Christ himself could run for president, but if he weren't republican or democrat, he would not win. That's not a good thing.

HandOfHeaven 2007-09-27 12:23 PM

I'm undecided.

Anyone heard of Union '08? I think that's what it is called, but it's a collaboration group.

If Ron Paul, by some chance, is slated as the Republican candidate then he would be my choice. Otherwise whoever the democrat is.

Rich people: "FLAT TAXES FTW!"
Poor people: "oh shit, our government services are gone"

HandOfHeaven 2007-09-27 03:40 PM

Almost all of the cars in the Church of the Latterday Saints I walk by every Sunday have Ron Paul bumperstickers.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 04:04 PM

Are you serious? LDS are all for Mitt Romney, he's LDS.

HandOfHeaven 2007-09-27 04:09 PM

Unless my eyes were shut. I'll check again in a few, it's on my way to work. It's either that or Seventh Day Adventists.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 04:11 PM

It would boggle my mind if they are LDS and not supporting Mitt Romney. Jesus Christ do they go on about him around here.

Willkillforfood 2007-09-27 05:15 PM

I doubt him being mormon will help him too much.

!King_Amazon! 2007-09-27 08:58 PM

Of course it won't. Not saying it will. Just saying most mormons support him.

The good thing is, it effectively means the mormons votes don't count.

MightyJoe 2007-09-27 09:00 PM

I'll sum up my political views with 2 words, fiscally conservative.

KagomJack 2007-09-27 09:14 PM

It depends on the issue. I'm rather moderate in terms of politics. But if I had to choose, probably Democrat, I guess. I'd vote Giuliani though.

Grav 2007-09-27 09:18 PM

Guiliani is basically a mobster.

HandOfHeaven 2007-09-27 10:58 PM

Yup, they are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Fuck them.

Guiliani is for large telecommunications companies being able to put priority on certain "prefered customers"'s content. He's more pro war too, isn't he?

Sovereign 2007-09-28 05:37 AM

Don't know. I've never voted yet so I havn't really ever researched any candidates before.

Vollstrecker 2007-09-28 04:54 PM

I lean more towards the Democratic side, but I vote mainly based on the candidate.

You've got Black and White in every election (the two major parties), and anyone who votes a strictly based on which color they prefer is a moron, there are so many shades of gray between those black and white parties that it's almost criminally negligent to vote a straight party ballot.

Vault Dweller 2007-09-30 08:59 PM

This fat, dumb, Young Republican asshole I work with wants to suck Ron Paul's knob. He's apparently gotten his dumb ass involved in the local campaign. Thus, my knowledge of Ron Paul's political views are filtered through stupid, leaving me with a rather unsavory opinion.

D3V 2007-10-01 07:37 AM

There seems to be alot of this going around, I don't k now how Ron Paul is doing this because I see more of his signs everywhere, I still don't like him. I'm STILL going Obama. He "blasted" Clinton yesterday.. Just the fact of him being the most intelligent spekeaker would get my vote.

Willkillforfood 2007-10-01 09:24 AM

I like Obama ...I think Ron Paul's more honest but I think he's too much for the wealthy. If it wasn't for flat taxes and dissolving the IRS/Department of Education I'd like him.

!King_Amazon! 2007-10-01 09:37 AM

Dissolving the Department of Education? Somehow I don't think that's a good idea.

Then again, I know nothing about why he wants to do it, so more power to him.

Willkillforfood 2007-10-01 09:58 AM

He wants to privatize everything that he can.

Sweet, now the poor can be able to not afford an education in addition to not being able to afford healthcare!

There are some things in life that should NOT be run for profit.

!King_Amazon! 2007-10-01 04:37 PM

Education and knowledge should not have a price tag.

Neither should maintaining your citizens' health in my eyes, isn't public safety the #1 concern and function of a governing body?

That another debate though.
