Hot or Mild

When you eat tacos, or go to a taco place, do you prefer hot or mild sauce?

I personally like to enjoy my food rather than burn my mouth, so I go with mild sauce.

talentedhamster 2008-03-27 03:18 PM

i like neither

D3V 2008-03-27 03:41 PM

Yo, it depends on the food. Regular tacos at taco bell are awesome with fire sauce, but chalupas and basically everything else is mild. I don't each much fast food, hardly ever and if I do its hardly ever mexican food/tacos.

Grav 2008-03-27 03:49 PM

Hot sauce.

Mantralord 2008-03-27 04:06 PM

whichever one tastes better, unless the sauce is unusually hot, then of course you have to man up and eat the hot sauce

DaFrigginDoctah 2008-03-27 04:57 PM

Sriyacha (Or however it is spelled) is bomb on everything.

Tyrannicide 2008-03-27 05:04 PM

I typically go with mild.

Of course, sometimes I like hot sauce lol.

Adrenachrome 2008-03-27 05:11 PM

Goddamnit comedy option required.

Fire sauce ftw

WetWired 2008-03-27 05:11 PM

I usually eat my tacos without any salsa. Taco Cabana's beef crispy tacos are amazingly perfect as-is.

I picked "both" because it depends. Some places "mild" is "fucking hot" and some places "fucking hot" is really really mild. I like my spicy food to be flavorful and hot, but not simply hot for the sake of being hot.

Basically, if it damages my taste buds, or puts me in PAIN, I don't want it. I'd say probably anything hotter than Jalapeno is overboard, to me.

Atnas 2008-03-27 05:42 PM

Neither.

Yea, sometimes a jalapeno is s touch too hot for me, but sometimes I like to drench my greens in habanero sauce.

But I thought we were talking about taco bell

slaynish 2008-03-27 09:26 PM

Hot does it for me at tacobell, its just mild enough, but just hot enough.

Grav 2008-03-27 09:49 PM

In terms of Taco Bell, I mix Hot and Fire. Used to be a mild man, but not anymore. I think they watered it down.

Sovereign 2008-03-27 09:53 PM

When I go to taco bell, I get fire sauce.

Goodlookinguy 2008-03-29 06:35 AM

I literally put mild sauce on everything I eat. If I go to a place like taco bell whatever, which is not common, I stock up on the hottest one. To be honest I've never been satisfied, the hottest they have is pathetic. In fact, the only thing I recall in my life that has ever made me flinch, a bit, after sticking it in my mouth was a habanero, but even that, was not very hot. One day, there will be a sauce hot enough to satisfy me. :(

Wussy sauces. You know what would also be nice, a cheese infused with something hot, aw, that just sounds good.

Chruser 2008-03-29 08:01 AM

Hot sauce. Taco Bell doesn't exist in Sweden.

talentedhamster 2008-03-29 08:07 AM

aw im so sorry!

Atnas 2008-03-29 08:25 AM

I don't eat out so I don't really know what it tastes like, but I'm guessing worse than homemade. Costs less to make it yourself at home with storebought ingredients.

And whenever I have a taco I just have ground beef and maybe cheese and that's it. I like uncomplicated foods. :]

Yuck, you need some salad, hot sauce, banana peppers, and...hmm...not sure. That will make its taste blow though the roof.

KagomJack 2008-03-29 05:15 PM

I like hot, just that most taco joints have food that don't agree with me. :/

That would be the perfect place to eat real Mexican food instead of the imitators.

Real Mexican food comes from Texas :D

Hmm...that's true huh? WW has pinned down the truth of where Real Mexican food comes from.

Grav 2008-03-30 02:16 AM

Thank you for that profound contribution. Anything else to add? Maybe a "QFT?"

Goodlookinguy 2008-03-30 02:18 AM

QFT?

What is that?

Grav 2008-03-30 02:20 AM

Quantum Field Theory: the branch of quantum physics that is concerned with the theory of fields; it was motivated by the question of how an atom radiates light as its electrons jump from excited states

Oh, alright, I guess. I understand that, I just don't know exactly how it works, but I guess I don't need to know all of the shiznad involved.

talentedhamster 2008-03-30 08:39 AM

wouldnt real mexican food come from.........mexico?

WetWired 2008-03-30 01:45 PM

Nah, that's fake Mexican food, of course. :D

Honestly, though, most of what America calls Mexican food originates from Tex-mex. The introduction of an abundance of beef and other local food resources dramaticly changed the cuisine and brought about such inventions as fajitas.

HandOfHeaven 2008-03-30 02:31 PM

West-Mex = Taco John's!
