can't. School and work consume my life.

!King_Amazon! 2008-11-24 07:17 AM

Too busy having a life and enjoying the content. I think I'm about 72 1/2 right now, just finished up Borean Tundra and now I'm headed to Howling Fjord.

Sovereign 2008-11-24 08:53 AM

2 bars from 75 on my holy pally
half way into 71 on my death knight.

I work full time, so I don't expect to hit 80 for another 2 weeks or so.

Kazilla 2008-11-24 08:55 AM

Some quests I'll warn you about...

Zul'Drak has a quest that requires you to take control of an Abom, skip it. It's bugged.
Icecrown has a quest that requires you to take control of an Abom, skip it. It's bugged.
Stormpeaks has a quest that requires you to shoot harpoons at hey stacks, and there is a quest that requires you to harpoon dragon riders. Both were bugged for me.

So, skip Aboms and Harpoons.

Willkillforfood 2008-11-24 08:56 AM

My Death Knight is lvl 71, that's all I've had time to level.

-Spector- 2008-11-24 09:12 AM

I hate questing... 1/2 way to 71 lol

Try slowing down and reading the quests. Questing is a lot more enjoyable when you follow the story and know what's going on. When you just get to a new quest hub, grab all of the quests, and go plow through them, you're not playing the game.

Jessifer 2008-11-24 09:53 AM

My highest is still only 67. I've been having too much fun on my Priest.

Tyrannicide 2008-12-11 06:18 AM

I am now in the level 80 club, as of very early this morning...

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-11 08:32 AM

I think I'm in the 73 club last I checked. Haven't been playing lately, too much school. I took my last final yesterday, so I'm on winter break now. I'll be 80 in a few weeks.

Jessifer 2008-12-11 11:49 AM

Give me about five years and I'll be in the level 80 club.

QFT

I've been playing my Death Knoob lately, level 61 and having alot of fun.

My lock is still sittin at 71.

Jessifer 2008-12-11 11:55 AM

My sister and I are sharing a DK. It may actually get leveled! *gasp*

Sovereign 2008-12-13 07:05 AM

I hit 80 maybe about a week ago.

I've had no problem with any quests either. Going for Seeker so I've been doing almot every quest in each zone minus the instance ones (for now at least)

Kazilla 2008-12-13 07:20 AM

Yar, they fixed most of the quests that were bugged.

I've been through 10 man naxx, malygoose, sartharion. We are going to 25 man Archadeon on monday. I'm already in all 80 epics minus a few items. Rolling a resto shaman so I can heal now. My dk is level 63.

Jessifer 2008-12-13 10:14 AM

They still haven't fixed the Alter of Tides quest...

Fix the old quests first, plz?

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-13 01:31 PM

So far I'm of the opinion that Blizzard has made things too easy. Every level 80 I see is in full level 80 epics. Quests so far have been STUPIDLY easy at times. Droprates on quest items have been pretty much made 100% for most quests (which I'm not against, because I dislike the "grind" of the game) and group quests are mostly nonexistant and when they do exist they're not really group quests because they're so easy.

Basically, Blizzard is trying to make the game more "casual" friendly but they don't realize that "casual" doesn't mean "retarded." I'm all for making quests and dungeons take less time, but I don't like that they're making them so easy that you can faceroll through them.

Kazilla 2008-12-13 09:55 PM

Heroics are a complete and utter joke in WotLK. They are nothing, and I mean NOTHING like BC heroics when they were first released. Top end guilds couldn't get through heroic Shattered Halls. People DREADED when CoT heroics were the daily. With the new emblems being so easy to acquire you can obtain...
  • Neck
  • Belt
  • Trinket
  • Tier 7 Gloves
  • Tier 7 Chest

All epic, not to mention all the epics you get when rolling around in the heroics themselves. They are being AoE tanked straight for level 80, and only get easier. Blizzard did the most idiotic thing IMO when they removed the attunements. Where you know, people were actually required to try. The first 80's on Llane did a 10 man naxx pug and cleared it. Currently the hardest fight right now is Sarph with 3 drakes up.

BORKED
(not the best video, but at least you get to see it)

For being the hardest fight it is kind of a let down, we did attempts with 2 drakes up and failed only because we needed another tank. It just requires some patience from dps, and some quick maneuvering from your tanks.

If I could ask blizzard to one thing in the entire world it would be to bring back attunements. I'm sick of these shitty ass players in my guild QQ'ing because they don't get to go to Naxx. They expect to much free loot. FU blizzard... that is all.

An udder is where a cow's milk comes from. The word you're looking for is "utter".

fix't

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-14 12:10 PM

I don't see how attunements would fix anything. They need to make the content harder. I'm fine with it taking less than an hour to do a dungeon, but I'm not fine with it requiring no skill to do it.

Here is how it will fix anything.

Back at 70 on my hunter I needed the Sonic Spear from Murmur. So I got me a damn good group, everyone was in tier 4 and 5 and we were blowing through it. We get to Murmur and things just stop. Not a single idiot I was grouped with had any knowledge of Murmur and we werent able to defeat him... Player sin tier 4 and 5 shouldn't have any trouble with Murmur, it is one of the easiest fights. None of them had to go through the attunement which required you to kill Murmur.

Having attunements won't stop idiots from getting into end game raiding, it will just slow it down.

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-14 03:32 PM

Well I understand all of that, but the problem right now isn't that there are idiots in raids. The problem is that the raids are stupidly easy. Adding attunements isn't going to fix that.

Kazilla 2008-12-14 04:04 PM

Yea, that is true.. the difficulty WotLK shows is pathetic. GI had an article that said WotLK is definetly aimed towards the casual gamer. People in my guild have stated that Ulduar (sp) will be of the SWP (Sunwell Portal) difficulty. Let's hope to see raids that take a few months to clear, as opposed to a few hours.

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-15 08:55 AM

Like I said above, I like that the game is aimed at casual players (because most of the players are casual players.) However, "aiming at casuals" means to shorten dungeons, get rid of annoying and time consuming rep grinds, and add some fun and challenge to the game. They can make the dungeons and raids shorter and more casual accessable without making them stupidly easy. I remember the Burning Crusade dungeons being pretty darn difficult when the last expansion came out. They should just do the same thing now, but shorten things a bit.

I also think they should leave some of the "hardcore" stuff in the game. That's part of what an MMORPG is about. This is why I was originally excited for their new raiding system, having all raids be 10 man or 25 man, rather than just having entry level raids as 10 man and all of the others as 25 man. This seemed like the perfect system to allow casuals to get a taste of raids. However, when it's all dumbed down, it's just not fun anymore.

tl;dr, Blizzard dropped the ball again.

Kazilla 2008-12-15 10:49 AM

I don't think they could make things much shorter. Currently there are four raids out; Naxx, Malygos, Sarpharion, Archadeon. Naxx is built like karazahn in the sense of there is trash then boss trash then boss. The other three however are basic zone in's and you're at the boss, much like Onyxia, and Magtheridon. Heroic Occy is currently the longest instance, I've heard stories of it lasting as long as two hours, it is also said to be the hardest isntance, next to HoL.

D3V 2008-12-15 03:56 PM

I still have not played WoW WOTLK.. I think my crack addiction may have subsided for now.

!King_Amazon! 2008-12-15 04:43 PM

I don't think they should make things any shorter than they already have. I've heard most dungeons take ~30 minutes to do. That's well within the reach of a casual player.

Kazilla 2008-12-15 04:46 PM

As long as you have the tank to do it, some still use CC which makes me wonder wtf they are doing, typically when I see a tank CC something I'll MD the mob to him and FD. Followed up with 2.3k crit volley all over the mobs face. CC is no longer requried.. even in heroics.

My guild was doing heroic runs and somehow it got changed to non-heroic. We zoned into VH and started killing, go to the first boss and killed him, looted... no badge. We were like wtf? Where are the badges, then we found out we had been playing on non-heroic and zoned out and restarted. its retarded how easy things are.

D3V 2010-03-15 01:48 PM

They've seriously made the game retard-proof, or maybe even retard-friendly. The auto-find instance toggle I use always gives me a group full of retards that only know how to mass pull and AOE. I guess the old school WoW players can benefit on this during PVP, but who knows.

Sovereign 2010-03-15 08:37 PM

There really is no reason to run daily random's unless you have bad gear and need those two emblems of frost you get. Just go do ICC 10. Shits a joke.

lvl 80 Paladin - Nirvash the Insane (fun achievement , look it up)
lvl 80 Shaman - Alekstrah
lvl 70 Hunter - Huntard
lvl 72 DK - Alekstra
lvl 70 Rogue - Alextra

Been on an extended break from raiding and wow in general for a few months though. My gear score is at 5500 atm.

Willkillforfood 2010-03-16 01:38 AM

Back in TBC being able to mass pull and aoe heroics was the shit :D. I love aoeing.

D3V 2010-03-16 08:35 AM

I just can't wait to get back to level 80 so I can nuke fools. I am deciding pretty soon on moving my main to DK, is it worth it?
