So, how do you patterns like the Zel banner?
I'm just wondering how stuff like it as well as tacoX's and Chruser's sig are made?
It's a neat effect. |
It's called "computer graphics". You make that kind of stuff starting with Photoshop, then get a 3d proggie and use that with photoshop. They aren't patterns. They're just shapes, barely ever filters (unless it's a n00b), text, etc.
Oh and taco is a ripper, so don't start liking his work. I on the other hand, don't rip. |
I'm too lazy to use Photoshop nowadays. Actually, I use it for pixel art at times, but otherwise, it's mostly Lightwave all the way.
|
Lightwave scares me.
But I play with Maya Personal Edition. |
3dsmax! woot
|
If you can get the full Maya, it's better. ;)
It's what hollywood uses. Mind you, it's an $3000 dollar proggie. |
I think I'd rather use that money on a laptop than on some 3D program :O)
|
Exactly. That's why I use the free version.

Maya's used for a heck of a lot too. I won't argue that LW is a great program, I'm just used to Maya now.

Actually, one of the reasons why MAYA is very famous is because they managed to take the credits for all of the Final Fantasy cutscenes movies, but guess what? The modeling was done in LightWave, while the movie sequences were done in MAYA. MAYA is an excellent movie/film industry program, but LW is a lot harder to beat when it comes to modeling or photorealism. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but it's not very easy.
|
Maybe I should give LW another shot, then.

Links and ways to get warez are only not allowed because the host doesn't allow it.
Plus, a web bot could flag us as a warez site and get us some pretty horrible members. |
