Nightmares
 

Well i thought it would be really interesting knowing about what kind of things other people were dreaming after i just got this nightmare so.... ill post my nightmare (that i got on the 12 of dec :P.. yesterday from today right now) and lets hear from yours..

Well this is indeed the most terrifying nightmare i've ever had in my entire life, it goes like this:

I lived in some type of aztec temple and it was in the jungle, it was falling apart a bit, like it aws built of stone and some chunks were falling off the walls n ceilings ect, there were boulders in the doors so i couldnt get out and nothin could get in and that was my fate forever inthe dream,
i remembered leaving the phone downstairs in a small 2 foot deep square hole which you needed to pull off a board to get to and i was upstairs talking to my mother (which was inside for some reason i don't know because there was no way she could get in, well anyway... we were beside the door that went downstairs to the basement and where i left the phone after i was done "chillin with my cat" yes my cat could talk and carry on an intelligent conversation in the dream it was pretty cool...

anyways.... i was with my mom and we were sitting down at a small table beside the basement door (remember its in a aztec temple) no technoligy its all lit by the sunlight... but i told my mom to hold on i will go get the phone from downstairs because i decided that i needed it for some reason even though i didnt need the phone, as i was walking down the stairs (which were REALLY creeky) i heard laughs of children playing and laughing giggling and i was really happy to know that the world was a happy place b ut then somethin totally bizarre happened, i thought that everything was so happy so i decided to see what happens if i added a small scream in the flood of sounds of the kids laughing, when i did i heard my mom let out a blood chilling scream, the chair went back and fell to the floor, iheard the wood scrape against the stone when the chair was shot backwards as my mom got up. (by the way the stairs were like.. square spiral, imagine stairs spiriling down but with corners like in an appartment building.. well anyway... i aws almost at the time where id have to turn make a 180 and continue going back down, thats when i let out the scream, my mom got up off the chair it made noise which you already know but as soon as the chair fell back and hit the floor, all the sounds of the kids that were once giggling were crying and screaming in agony and terror.

i fell to the floor and curled up into a ball knowing that i was safe nomatter where i was in the house, i waited for my mom to look down the stairs after she got up (i couldnt see her) so i assumed she tripped and got injured or dissapeared becaus of an evil spirit or so.. when i heard the kids crying and screaming it flooded my ears so that i could not hear anything else but myself, i was in absolute terror, i was also being mutilated inside the dream, the reason the kids were screaming was because they were being mutilated by some... dark spirit or something, and this was all wh ile i was in the jungle so there couldnt have been kids around.... but since i curled up into a ball because i was in absolute terror, no joke, this is the worst fear ive ever experienced in my life.... but.. since i was in that terror i couldnt wake up.. i stayed curled and waited my turn to be mutilated.

I eventually woke up curled into a ball and i thought i was still in the dream when i woke up, my blankets were on the floor and i didnt want to get them because i felt that i would die, i could still hear the voices inside my head at that time, the kids screaming and crying... i thought i was going insane, i sat there for about 15 seconds trying to get it out of my head, luckily i finally noticed it was a dream but i was still terrified.

worst dream ever, it was sheer terror, not fear but terror i never want to dream taht ever again.

lets hear some of what you dreamed before, feel free to comment on my dream but.. try not to flame it, i didn't try to dream this and if i had the choise i wouldnt have..

I have had some really freaky dreams.

Ok, you need an imagination for this one.

My town is in a deep valley, and this happened a year or so ago.

When the dream started, the almost the entire town was dead, becuase of this tsunami of fire that waved across the town. This tsunami of fire was miles high, and just kept going and moving around the town.

My friends and I were at a concert, when news struck that a nuclear bomb was going to explode on our town. It exploded, but didnt make a big shockwave, just this giant wall of fire. this is really hard to explain. Basically the whole dream was my friends and I running in terror do outrun the tsunami. There were times when I was breaking through glass to get away, and times where I got stuck. Then these people who were on fire wan out from the wall of fire, and tried to holf me down while the tsunami consumed us.
Eventually I was the only person alive in the town. The tsunami growing and growing, and the dead people on fire trying to kill me, I eventually got tired and the fire people got me.

Then I woke up.

It doesnt seem as scary now, its really hard to explain. It was one of the most terrifying dreams I had ever had.

Hmm.. last night.

In my dream, I was able to fly, and turn invisible (guess it was too much Starcraft that night..)

After a while, I noticed Japerman* planes doing a bombing run on our neighborhood. I decided that, since I was able to fly and such, I would save our town.

Of course, the Japerman planes could see me, and began shooting me somehow.

I got hit a few times, but then I was able to escape, to K-Mart, so I could buy some kind of missile defense system (Yep, too much Starcraft.)

Then, I woke up. Or at least, I thought I did.

I got out of bed, noticed that it was cold. (Yes, I could feel EVERYTHING, surely some of you have had that experience in dreams before.) I walked the whole way downstairs from my room, without a thought, thinking about how stupid that dream was.

I glanced out the window, and I saw... planes in a holding pattern outside of my house. At this point, I can actually feel my heart pounding in my chest..

I saw the bomb drop. Heartbeat jumps into rabbit-mode.

Heard nothing, but everything went black, for at least 5 minutes. No sound, no feeling, no sight, at ALL. Heartbeat wasn't there. During this time, I was sure I was dead, and my soul hadn't left my body yet...

Then I heard a truck horn, three times, extremely loud.

Then I woke up for real, heart pounding, sweaty, the whole works. There was no actual truck anywhere, my brain must've slipped those sounds in there to wake me up..

*Japerman = Japanese + German alliance. In dreams, sometimes you just KNOW things, even if they aren't shown.

I have felt some of the worst pain in my dreams. I have felt rocks thrown at me, spikes in my back, teeth hurting.

Ack, and when you get awake, nothing hurts..:wierd:

Yeah, I've felt gunshot wounds, hand sliced off, etc.

It's pretty strange when you wake up and check to see if you're bleeding.

I usually don't have nightmares, I think the last one was years ago.


Nightmares are always scarier to the person that experienced them... and very difficult to explain. Even if you can remember the dream exactly, it's tough to communicate that.

I like dreams that turns out to be pornographic. but half of the time they turned out to be very distrubing and weird. =/

Dreaming that you woke up from a nightmare is really scary.

is getting more rare and rare for me to have nightmares and remember what exactly happened in them. sometimes I woke up knowing that I had one and recall nothing from it. I've also heard somewhere that if you place you hand on your heart just right before falling asleep you'll get nightmares. that worked a couple of times too.

I heard that if you die in a dream, you die in real life...buuut in Bluecube's dream I guess he proved that theory wrong.

I remember when I was young (back in Hong Kong) I used to have nightmares about how I would find myself falling off from the side of the apartment (I lived on the 9th story) and how it would feels like I'm actually falling and everything below me is zooming in fast and just when I hit the ground I would wake up all sweaty and my heart pounding at like 200 miles per hour. thats probably the scariest nightmare I ever had. weird eh? :x

Hmm.. I haven't had a nightmare in years. It's funny, because when I was little, I had them alot. I was at my great grandmothers house in Mass., and I was telling her about it.. then she said if I thought about 'happy things' like toys or ponies or whatever.. I tried it, and I didn't have a nightmare for about four years after that

Damn! I have had soooo many falling dreams that they dont scare me anymore. I mean, I love the feeling of falling now.

I wish I could have nightmares on command, I love them.

Hmm.. I had a very odd re-occurring dream about falling.. I jumped off of a cliff, over a beach area... Oddly enough, it seemed that the speed of falling was random. If I started at a fast speed, halfway down I would start to float slowly downward. If I started at a slow speed, the opposite would happen. In the dream, this was perfectly logical..

Never did land on that beach though, always woke up.

Anyone else have any dream over and over again?

I keep having this dream that is set in my school where I keep appearing in different places and nobody can see me then in the end I end up in some dark wooded area with some chick on here knees in front of me. O.O now that is a weird dream.

whoa, hold up. she knees infront of you? are you sure that classifies as having a nightmare?

Never said it was a nightmare. He asked if anyone has had the same dream over and over.
