Can u avoid getting hacked?
 

I have been hacked twice now. Is there any actual way from being hacked? I have lots of good stuff and when a hacker sees the stuff they hack my acct and delete my characters. I called the Blizzard tech support line and they told me to mix numbers with my password. So i did and hey guess what? I got hacked 3 weeks later! So can anyone tell me how NOT to get hacked?

Dont download anything, dont tell anyone your password, dont piss anyone off you dont know (ive bruted a few people in my day) dont join games that teach u how to 'dupe' or make 'occy ring's or anything like that.

well i do have a habbit of pissing people after i kick there @$$ in a duel =)

ehem... chatting progs are just PERFECT to line u up to get hacked, so if u got people on your list u suspect...delete em, even having them on your list is giving an open connection straight through to your computer:)

i got hacked a few days ago. im pissed cause i lost all my good items such as my ith hydra,13 sojs, occy ,38%travs , buriza ,tals armor , ohm rune ,vamp gaze and like 5-6 other items. i was almost going to get a wf but i got fuxed by some lame @$$ punk and now i have to start over again

must say when adding numbers in with ur pass it seems that someone has a keylogger on u...

ive been hacked, and both times i knew it was happening. the stupid retard didnt change the pw 1st and was browsing my acct. so i changed the pw so at least he couldnt start muling away, but he did get a lot of stuff. anyways, make passwords like your social security #, old phonenumber, and lotsa other hard to know pws

to avoid getting hack, make an account on each realm
with different passwords so that it would be harder for them to get in to your account

If you think you have been hacked, don't log into bnet because if they are using a keylogger program they will see everything! best idea would to do a full scan and delete the info in your(temp internet folder). If you don't dl any unknown programs there should be nothing to worry about. And if you are really worried about getting hacked you should get a firewall, i suggest norton.

Well I've been hacked once because I downloaded a colorhack program from a real popular site at the time which everyone downloaded from. Everyone stopped going there after that. Anyways, after I downloaded it I decided to delete it, not knowing it was a hack. And sure enough a day later I get a "connection interrupted" message and my password is wrong. I go into my mule account and there I am online. Then I got booted off my mule account (full of newbs items) and pw changed. Then quickly made a new account, and told all my friends I got hacked and blah blah blah. Disconnected my cable modem, copied all my songs from KaZaA and shit on cd. Then recovered my comp to its original store bought status. Kind of an unnecessary move but my only sure way of knowing I was hack free at the time. At least I was a newb then and only had a mf sorc with ok items. :rolleyes:

The only d2 hack I downloaded after that was Pinda 3.4 from Hellmonkeys ;).

I agree with Randuin, Only morons do get hacked. But hey you can get smarter :)
