Opinions on me being a Graphics Moderator
 

Well, it's been months since I registered with Zelaron. It started off kind of slow for me. I wasn't very interested in posting around the board, and I was 50x worse at graphics than I am now. Having a mod from another forum deal with a thread isn't very good. All of the good mods I know can handle their forum, and not have another mod deal with it, because he/she is right for the job. And yes, I am right for the job. If Chruser wasn't an Admin, I would chose him for a graphics mod, alongside me if possible.

The Graphics Forum, as it may seem useless to some, needs someone to keep it under control, no matter how dull it may seem. It's also very useful to have a mod of the graphics forum to sticky (*important*) neccessary threads (i.e. contest/battle threads) -- so mods and admins don't do it for you, and make sure it's a spam free forum (i.e. making threads in one forum when it could be made in other forums). Lately, the Graphics forum has had a lot of old threads bumped (a few that were several months old) by various users, and some flaming of another's graphics, which could have easily been dealt with via PM or flame forum. If I was a mod of the graphics forum, I would close it on first site, because I know how to keep control of a forum.

Now before some of you start getting off on me as cocky, mean, and not well liked for the job, you haven't seen me mod other forums. I go to 12 different forums. I try to keep the forum under control no matter if I'm part of the staff or not. On UndergroundNetwork, I was a Super/Elite Mod for about a year -- helping the forum gradually by keeping it clean and enjoyable. Once in a while, there is someone who goes on a spam-fest and starts making useless threads every 5 seconds. That happened on 2 forums, a couple weeks ago, and I stopped it right away. If I wasn't there, it would have been hell to clean up.

Zelaron isn't that much different from the other forums I go to. They all have rules, members, and appropriate staff. I don't see why I wouldn't have a chance at becoming a mod here. I probably couldn't cause any harm to this board if I tried, since I know absolutely nothing about hacking. So what makes me different than anyone else on Zelaron?

You don't need to be good at gfx to be gfx mod, you just have to know how to flame em

What if someone asks a question about something you don't know? What if someone wants some constructive critisism on something he/she made, and you don't know anything about graphics?

The graphics forum is different than normal forums. You actually do need to know quite a bit about graphics to be a mod... better yet, a good mod. Mods who flame don't deserve to be a mod. If you ended up being a graphics mod, I would shoot myself.

I think I've been to far more forums that you have, and have been on the staff at various forums longer than you have to know that mods should do more than that. I'm not a terrrible mod who JUST cleans up crap and doesn't improve the forum itself by helping others. And no need to call me a dumbfuck, I know what I'm talking about. I guess you haven't seen what a good mod does, have you? Otherwise you wouldn't be saying what you're saying.

Bottom line: Shitty mods flame to keep things under control, good mods help and keep things under control.

Anyway if they chose a gfx mod, i think you should be modded, because your the most active of the "gfx users".

no offense to bezier, but honestly, does the graphics forum need a moderator? no. if i ran my own forum, i would mod randuin just to piss bezier off because he thinks he's top notch. he's good, but he rubs it in too much. he also has trouble with being nice, but he is mature.
