Metal Slug 3
 

January 09, 2003 - In case you missed the news over the break (like us), Playmore confirmed that Metal Slug 3 will be released in Japan in the spring of this year. The PS2 version of SNK's visually opulent shooter will include a direct port of the arcade version, entitled Arcade Mission, as well as an original mode for PlayStation 2 with added features.
We will attempt to cover this assiduously with more timely Slug news in the future. Look forward to it.

What the heck is Metal Slug?

it'e like you fight in a war with a cartoon-look-a-like character with guns and you can shoot people, scrolling game!!! Ever played the game "War Axe"? something like that, it was great on the arcade manchine, haah!!

Yeah it's really fun you should try and pick it up on a rom or something. Thats same thing I was thinking Vc but I am pretty sure they'll keep it like Contra and stay 2d if not well then there is still the old arcade version on the disc :D

You don't know what Metal Slug is? Oh god no! Go to an arcade with 40 dollars in hand (if you've never played, you'll need it), check in the dark, dank corners for a four-slot SNK multi-video system. Somewhere in those dark corners they are almost guranteed to have Metal Slug. Get quarters and play, over and over and over, because honestly, you're missing out.

Nah it's not out yet, but like jin said if you've never played it you're missing out
