This game looks sweet. What do you think of it?

When is it coming out?

Are there new vehicles , weapons?

It is going to be kickass, and Yes, there will be a shit load of new items, weapons, rides, etc... They say it'll come out the end of 2003, but if XBox's initial release dates are indicative to their actual release dates, then I'd say more like the end of 2004 at earliest....

they're trying to speed it up and release it near the 1 year anniversary of Xbox and xbox live

Heh, that would be fucking awesome! But I doubt it will happen, they are going to want a very sound game released that will be comparable to the original HALO.

Yeah but we can only hope they get it here near fall

Q What new weapons will be available in Halo 2?
A So far there have a been a few new weapons revealed. The Battle Rifle is an evolved version of the original assault rifle and features increased accuracy, a scope, and a slower rate of fire. The SMG (Sub Machine Gun) is a rapid-fire gun that trades a high volume of bullets for decreased accuracy.

Of course these are others, but we can't tell you about them yet.


Q What are the new Covenant races?
A The Brute has been described as a cross between a gorilla and a rhino and will be a serious force to reckon with on the battlefield. The Prophets have been referred to as "giant space popes" and they provide the political, religious and spiritual leadership in the Covenant.

As for the others... you'll just have to wait and see.

Q Will flying vehicles be available in multiplayer games?
A You better believe it!

Q Will Halo 2 support online play via Xbox Live?
A Absolutely! Forget everything you know about Xbox Live. We intend for Halo 2 to become the definitive Xbox Live experience with well designed and extremely robust support for online play. We'll have much more to say on this subject in the months ahead.

Q What multiplayer game types will be offered in Halo 2?
A All of Halo's multiplayer modes will return including Oddball, Race, Slayer, CTF, etc.. In addition to these classics, we have some big plans for Live that we'll reveal a little later.

LoL I love it when people hate Xboxs, they have no clue what they are talking about. I have Xbox and PS2, I once had cube(good reasons why I dont know), and Xbox owns PS2, just that PS2 has more game titles out that are known.

I dont see why not to like the xbox it has so much more than all the other systems.

The controller was horrible, now i dont think they sell them all that much anymore.

yea i love the new controller S's there soo perfect... cept the buttons underneath the joysticks... in Jedi Outcast you have to hold down on it to crouch and it makes it real hard to shoot and stuff at same time.

fuckin A i want halo 2 so bad im drooling im considering getting xbox live when it comes out i just hope they dont jack up the prices...

Yeah, serously, if the price is right, I'm all over that shit!

Also, I actually don't like the new joysticks. I got so used to the bigger ones, that the more compact ones are too weird to use, too crammed together IMO.

Heh, its weird, I used to be really good at Bond for N64, and after playing HALO so much, you really forget how to work with those obsolete joysticks. I played Bond over the weekend and felt like a friggin simpleton. I couldn't move the guy and shoot for shit, it really was amateur hour. :(

I know that the controllers are better but I still think that GCN controllers are the best.

The XBox has a superior controller for an FPS... but it doesn't even come close to the PS2's Dual Shock 2 for general use. That thing is comfortable as hell.
