Diablo II patch 1.10 ; end of hacks?
 

A problem in Diablo II that is growing is those hacked items.
Now blizzard has realised it and have set the highest priority of fighting and removing those items.

Also taken from blizzard:

"We are aware that some Diablo II players are equipping their characters with hacked items. These items are unfairly enhancing their characters, which in turn is giving them an unfair advantage over players who are playing fairly. This problem has been made a high priority and will be resolved. In the meantime, please do not use or trade these items. We will continue to keep you informed as we get closer to implementing a solution.

Please note that Blizzard Entertainment continues to maintain an extremely aggressive policy against the use of hacks and cheats in our games. Using a hack or cheat while playing a Blizzard game online can result in permanent removal from Battle.net.

As always, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. If you would like to report additional instances of hacking or cheating, please contact us at [email protected]. Thank you again for your continued support. "

So because of the long creation time of patch 1.10 is that they have make a new gamecode suitable for finding hacks , cheats etc?

Will the currently users that uses hacked items banned , muted?
Does this mean that all the old hackes items cheat will be gone?

In my opinion it will allways come new hacks and exploits, whatever blizzard do the hackers will find new exploits.

Its just a waste of time. Why not put the time on other games. Btw i do not support blizzard of fighting hacks really...

well... 1.10 is a hole new remake of the source code so all existing hacks and modules will have to be remade...

Mr.Lee you just don't like them fighting hacks probably cause you have hacked items :) .

It's not offically announced.. Blizzard just stated don't use hacked items. BTW ITH, white, any hack users DIE!

I have some godly uncheated items too. So it doesnt matter for me if they wash all the hacked items.

i really dont care is my hacked items dissapear, ill still have massive legit items to later trade for new hacked items if/when they occur=)

There is no realease date.

does using occy rings count? cuz thoses were just a mistake when they were made, u only need D2 to make it, and also does usin MH count?

I'm pretty sure that includes Occy Rings. All bugged and hacked items will probably be deleted when the patch is released, but we all know that won't be for another few months.... :(

Also, I don't think they can detect MH, so you are fine there! :)

They did just archive some info on the new Ladder characters, perhaps there is hope.
