How do you think my account got jacked?
 

Alright, well, here's the deal. I moved into the city over last weekend, and was supposed to get my cable and internet hooked up on Saturday, but the guy never showed. Then it was rescheduled until Tuesday, but again, he never showed. Now finally, I got it installed last night and I finally logged onto my account.

Low and behold, both my accounts were stripped and all 4 of my mules accounts were as well, and 7 of the 8 characters on each one were deleted... :(

There are only 3 people I game with on a regular basis, and two of them have been since day 1 I started playing Classic, over 2 years ago. The other one I've been gaming with and sharing accounts/mule accounts for the past 6 months. He was the only one that knew my passwords...

He claims that the same happened to his account, so he started another account, but probably won't be playing that much anymore. Now, the thing is, he has stolen like 5 other accounts since I've been friends with him, but he always gave the shit to me for first use, then mule whatever he didn't use.

Was I just setup over the past 6 months, or was he really jacked too, and its all just a big coincidence?

BTW, he is kickyanads from this forum.

Anyway, I thought that if something like that happened, I would be really pissed, but I'm kinda just shrugging it off. The other two people I referred to earlier gave me a new Mf Sorc setup as well as their passwords so we can share items until I get back in full again. I started botting again last night, but of course my internet went down... :(

Anyway, beware of who you trust, it could be just a big ole scam! Oh yeah, and don't get too wrapped up in this game because I know there are others here that would not be able to take a loss like that quite so well. ;)

I figured I'll bot about 95% of my time now until I can duel with some decency again, and in the mean time, I'll focus more on my drinking and getting butt!

i think drinking and getting butt is the right idea my boy! thats what i do, fuck diablo 2 just bot it all and only play for pvp on your spare time! in the mean time aim for something that is more valuable which you had sorta mentioned earlyer, GETTING PUSSY!

i have to say that since the dupe was out that u shouldnt realy need to even bot, except for charms and jewels and runes.

Well, I'm not a betting man, but I'd be willing to bet that a mass banning of accounts/ *poofing* of most of those items will occur very soon. All those duped items are worth shit now anyway, and I'm legit, so they don't really affect my game style.

Like I stated before, all it does is help my characters level faster while cowing. :)

Once everything is back to normal, botting will be a neccessity once again. ;)

LoL, I know, I know... My internet is completely screwed over right now, but someone is coming in Tuesday, so hopefully I will be able to get it ready then. Maybe I'll just do it right now and send it over, although I can't be positive it'll work perfect, it should.

Anyway, it just seems too much of a fucking coincendence that in the short days you knew I wouldn't have internet access, 1) My account was jacked, 2) you were the only one to have my password, 3) you stopeed replying to me and took off Jay and Dave from your friend list, and 4) your account got jacked too, but for some strange reason, you have a new account, and its filled with duped .08's....

Kinda strange, no? Anyway, fuck it, I don't want your account dude, and no, Diablo is not dead. You just realized you fucked up, and since all your items are going to disappear and become obsolete when the patch comes out, you quit playing.

Drinking and school is lot more important to me now though.

That's pretty shitty. I just quit D2 myself, uninstalled it and everything. It's dead.

Heh, I haven't played it in over a 10 days, and I really don't miss it that much. I couldn't wait to get back on and start up again when I stopped initially, but when I did and everything was gone, I kinda lost a lot of interest. I guess that and the dupe fest kinda aided in the process.

Maybe it's a sign to stop playing and focus on other more important stuff more.

Yes, screw d2, it just wastes sooooo much of your time, and for what? A little fun? Seriously, I'm sure most experianced d2'ers have played this game as it were a full time job. Good way to quit, is just look at the people that have never played it!

well the only thing the dupe fest did to me is that i cant duel cus my char are loaded with gold (i like to keep as much as possible on me)

It would wast soooo much of your time only if you play it as if it's your full time job ^_^

Play it on weekends only, duel with your friends just for fun, that way the game can last longer.

Or just don't play anymore. It just pisses me off that it took something of this extreme to make me realize what a waste of my precious time it really was.

And no, I don't even want to do the occassional duel for the fun of it. That is how I "made a comeback" 3 times already!
