Hosting help
This is my problem
1. I cant host games so people can join them. Here is my setup: 1. I am using Norton antivirus internet security 2. I allow all ports for Warcraft III to go to/from my computer and others 3. I am on cable 4. I have a hub so I have internet connection sharing between my 2 computers 5. I have a masked IP address for my network Neither one of my computers can host games... my friend JUST got cable and can host perfectly fine, even when I disable my firewall I still cant host, so I think it might be something with my network. I really want to be able to host so when I host games like maul TD games I can be the color I want and I can do AT games with friends that cant host either, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced, I hope I get an answer after writing this long letter. |
does your norton come witha firewall, if so theres your problem.
|
Yes, norton antivirus internet security is the firewall, but in that I have allowed the ports to go to/from. I even disabled my firewall and tried hosting and it doesnt work, any other possiblilites of other problems?

i dont see why it would be a network problem if you are using a hub. im stumped. >.<
maybe Nongayman should move this to the help forum, this forum seems kinda slow >.< |

I got it working, I had to forward ports 6112 - 6118 in my linksys hub setup, it only worked for 2 or 3 days, then I got Norton Internet Security 2003, instead of 2002 and now it wont work
