How to make my computer shut off at a certain time
Well how?
I think GetRight can do that.
The BIOS has an option to boot up at a certain time, not sure about shutdown.
i think task manager or just install the whytespy server on urself and ill shut it down whenever you want ^^
I think task manager would do the job...
Hmmm, I need to know how too, can anyone give step by step instructions for xphome?
If you need want use Task Manager you need to do this:
Make a shortcut of rundll32.exe, add a special command line code which i've forgotten... :/ Or use a external program to do this, try this program: http://www.alphalink.com.au/~sergeb/ExitWin.htm |
That program says its designed for 95/98
I'm on ME by the way.
dear God; there is no hope.
Tell me about it..
lets just say that I would rather use 98 then ME.

Shutdown.exe.
It comes with Windows XP (and 2000, I believe.) You can set it a scheduled task. (Hope it works in Windows ME. Honestly, I have no idea about Windows ME.) First, search your system for the Shutdown.exe. Then, make a shortcut, and (assuming it's in C:\Windows\System32) set the Target to: c:\windows\system32\shutdown.exe -s -t 30 -c "Shutting down in 30 seconds" You can set the timeout for as long or short as you want. Now set it as a Scheduled Task for whatever time you want. ------- Going to try and attach shutdown.exe (in ZIP form) if you don't have it. Again, I hope it works in ME. |
Buy the upgrade to XP home, a mere $90.
I don't have $90.
