Windows Error
everytime i start up the comp this error that says : windows socket error: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/networkaddress/port) is normally permitted (10048), on API 'bind'
|
I dunno probally somthing to do with your port. Mabye you deleated a windows file that was needed.
|
Which is it The1, a port or a windows file?

i think two programs are using port 10048. Ports over 1024 are only supposed to be registered to one program at a time. If you could find out using a program like socket workbench that sniffs packets, or if you know of programs that use that port, you should try and assign one of them to another port. |
Or format c and install linux
|
check your network ports for conflicts. a few questions. Do you have Dsl? Are youn on a Network? What version of Windows do you have? And no you can't use 2 programs on 1 port. It is only possible to use one program on each port. If 2 or more are assigned then it will not functino. But you have to go internally to install a second program to that port, which you most likely didn't do.

DSL wouldn't have a damn thing to do with his boot process.
The only question you need to ask is, "What windows are you running?" Then provide the simple answer associated with that version of Windows. |
