I don't agree with it i know what you're gonna say but it has nothing to do with religion im not a devout anything. I know its more than a black and white issue and that its not jus done by lazy parents but still i don't agree with taking someones life before they even had a chance to live it.

my friend recently found out that she's pregnant and her family are forcing her to go out of the country (if you don't know i live in malta were abortion is forbiden) and get one done or face disownment(people round here still do it one of the few things i hate about my country)

i would like your opinion on the subject and please no jokes like your parents should have had an abortion to me or anyone this isn't the flame forum and its in extremely poor taste

Well for some reason I don't oppose abortions 2much.. if there is really a bad situation that the baby shouldn't be delivered then sure.. just dont do it at home.. because when you think about it.. wanking off is like a million abortions.. all killing conciousness beings who havent seen light of day.. and the babies who are in the womb earent concious either (not that i know of) and if they get killed it's not like they have something to complain about..not like they "WANTED" to be there.. they just are

I do agree with abortion, in some cases. The ppl who have abortion most of the time are underaged, drugaddicts or prostitutes. Those ppl just arent fit for being parents and/or do not have the funds for raising a child. In this case its better to dont have the child instead of having the child and give it a horrible youth and possible a horrible life

Abortion is undoubtedly one of the most physically and mentally traumatic things a women can ever go through, I can not imagine any one would go through with it, with out good reason to.

I have been trying to lend an ear but thats all i can give her, i can't give her any advice and i can see that she really needs it and even though i don't agree with it i don't want to give her any wrong advice.

That depends on how you look at a sperm. It's not really life; the egg is.

Anyhow, I know someone who had an abortion when she was 13, and it was on the down low. I never even heard about it until last year. Then I started to dislike her. I didn't realize that I was doing it until a few months ago. So, even though I had said that I didn't oppose abortions, I think that I'm subconsiously strongly against the idea.

That is, of course, unless the baby was conceived in a horrible circumstance--rape for example.

What other horrible curcumstances are there? BDSM? Bukakke?:p

i also agree with Wiccan][V][asta and undeadzombieguy, its better to have the abortion than to have the child be brought up the wrong way. If he or she is brought to this world he probably wish that he be not born (with all these politics, and polutants and other things going around the world, I MYSELF dont want to be here!!

heh, i don't care too much about abortion because i believe sometimes it's needed. For example, if the doctor said your baby was gonna only live for a year; but during this process he/she will suffer great illness. What's the point of bringing the baby into this world. If your friend is wants to keep the baby she has to have enough money, if you know what I mean. If she doesn't want to then she should just go for abortion. Everyone dies... this is I believe.

Just a simple question, would you guys rather have abortion legal, or would you rather females that are so desperate violate their bodies and do physical harm to themselves with hangars and whatnot? I personally think that pro-choice is the way to go, but not always. If it is used as a form of controseption, that is horseshit, but just like in almost EVERY situation, certain circumstances can, do and will arise where it is an exception... :(

It's not very viable contraception even if they wanted it for that. It costs way too much. Just buying condoms or going on the pill would be much cheaper. (I think... I don't know what a supply of the pill costs.)

I know that, of course, I'm just saying, some people do use it as a form of controseption, and that fucked up... :(

my co-worker said that his ex-wife was going to have a baby and that when thay went to the hospital thay said it was dead for a few months already because of all the stress she has during work. thay had to have that sergicaly removed !!

so as for that girl, if she is not willing or is having second thoughts, then she should not have the baby, she should only have the baby in a stress free environment knowing she will give 120% od work towards the baby !!

I am totally against abortion. I think it's totally wrong, in every sense of the word. This being said, it is just NOT my place to say what anyone does with their own body. Just as it's not my place to say who can or can't do drugs, who can or can't drink, or who can or can't do self mutilation.

The question I pose to Bob, (I only mention you because I know your religous beliefs.) You feel it's ok in cases such as rape? Could it be considered "God's will"? I put that in quotations simply because I know your God wouldn't make that happen, but more let it.

I don't think the will of God has anything to do with an abortion for a rape victim. Put yourself in her place. Let's say you're also young and innocent, perhaps a bit too sheltered, which is how you got in the predicament in the first place.

Do you want to have a baby that will always remind you of that horrible night? Whenever you see his face, you will think of it. Whenever you hear him laugh, you will think of it. Whenever you hear his name, you will think of it. You will always be haunted by the horrible actions of some nameless guy at a party.

Actualy for the rape i dunno if it s like that in general but i know 2 girls that got raped and they kept the baby. Well maybe they liked it and decided to keep a souvenir.
