cubeing?? whats best
 

if your cubeing for cruels is one gem better than another or dose it matter and are chips or perfs better?

perfects for cruel weaps in general and chips for swords im thinking.. I don't think the type matters

Chips only add 1 socket now, and work on any magic item.

u sure i thought it was Flawless that worked on all weps, actually im sure of it, er well i donno if Chips do that but i do know 3 flawless + one magic wepon(any type) = the same type of magic wepon..

and to answer ur Q the type of gem makes no diffrence on the mods of the item...

I wouldn't cube weapons now (well, most weapons), seeing that there are Rares/Unique/Runewords which can be more powerful.

Amulets/Rings are still good for certain characters, however.

cubing charms is always fun!! high level monstar dropped charms are good to cube.. (perfects)
