1.10 Werewolf Druid: Change Much?
Well, anyone know if the rough idea for a 1.10 Werewolf druid has changed much? I never actually played a Druid before, so I'm just curious.
|
I don't think it changed at all... The only thing that changed *synergy wise* was the elemental crap.
|
Eh, yeah I think all thats changed are the elementals, also I believe they pumped thw wolves up a bit more, they're seeming to last longer and do more damage when Im with them. But overall I dislike druids...its just that they talk like an old man and walk crippled. Sorry to all druid fans, but its true!
|
Well there is also fire claw that gain dmg from synergy. But they are all elemental. My guess is it could be good but i havnt tried it or looked the dmg of it yet.
|
I think you can now cast geddon in Wereform...

Yes they can, this would most likely be the reason why someone would make a fireclaw werewolf or werebear.
|
What I dislike about 'Geddon is, the 9 skill points pre-req. I haven't checked on the damage in the new patch yet though...so I will just say this much.

Well, druid's starting to get up there in levels, so I'll see if anyone has any suggestions on his PvP gear. He gonna be a typical Werewolf Fury. This my potential gear setup:
Helm: Jalal's Mane Weapon: Ethereal BOTD Berserker Axe Shield: Stormshield(Of course) Armor: Stone Runeword or Valor (Undecided) Gloves: Steelrend or Crafted IAS gloves. Belt: String of Ears Boots: Gore Riders Amulet: Highlords Ring1: BK Ring Rind2: BK Ring A little low on life leech, but then, it doesn't really work in PvP anymore.... I'm open to suggestions. |
a little mana leech would be good so I say duel leech ring instead of 1 bk
|
Breath Of The Dying got 7% Mana leech.

Change into bear for more Life and Def, and still be able to cast Geddon... but have to shift back for other spells. |
Ok. After reviewing some more of the changes in 1.10's PvP strats, this would be my REVISED PvP setup:
Helm: Jalals Mane Weapon: BOTD Eth. Zerker Shield: Stormshield Armor: Stone Runeword Gloves: 1.10 IK Gaunts Belt: Verdungo's Hearty Cord Boots: 1.10 IK Boots Ring1: BK Ring Ring2: Ravenfrost Ammy: Highlords I think that would do nicely. I welcome all suggestions. |
It would, but BoTD Zerker is only 5 fpa, but with the high damage and the range 3, you can probably find a way around that. (Shift-Fury)
IK Gloves and Boots won't be the best choice in my opinion... Dracul's Grasp and Gore Rider will be better I think. While you might think Life leech is not as effective, but it still works, just nerfed. Dracul's has +Str, Open wound, % cast Life Tap with Gore Rider's Deadly Strike, CB and Open wound should be more beneficial. Some might choose Enigma over Stone because of the +.75 str per level, +skills and teleport. |
Well, I'm poor, so the Stone has to stay. No Enigma for me.
Is Fury like Whirlwind as far as attack speed goes? Is the weapon speed the only modifier? I was going for IK Boots+Gloves for the IAS bonus/AR Bonus/Life/20 Dual Stat. Life leech has seemed to be completely useless thus far. I've tried a few with my Druid slamming with Bonehew and he leeches back almost nothing. The Gore Riders I see, but then I lose the ias bonus from partial IK set. |
in wolf form you do not need ias from gear besides weapon. also base weapon speed is also dependent onhow fast you are.botd is nice but try sheal ed/ias bonehew and the rang/dmg is far superior, besides the fact you lose 75% block.or try unqiue great poleaxe. great weapons but i wouldnt fight any melee char since in 1.10 leech is reduced greatly.
for melee use botd or a high range high dmg wepaon vs casters. gloves:unique vampire bone gloves for the sole fact thta it casts lifetap whcih is 50% leech and actually works in pvp 10 str and cb is also very nice. when fighting caster chars use crafted knockback gloves and shift fury should be insant KO. boots: im not sure on the deadly strike cap but goreriders seem to be your best bet.30 run 15 ow and ds is great for any melee char. hope this helps -cpg |
Zod, 2x 40/15ias Eth Tomb Reaver vs. Caster you mean?
As Borq has mentioned, the IAS from Non-Weapon sources will not be effective at all when you're already at 5 FPA Fury. You need 95% IAS on the Weapon in order to reach the 4 FPA breakpoint. |
Ah. Well, at 5 fpa, my entire 5-hit fury would be done in 1 second, right? The damage would be much better on the BOTD zerker than a robo-phase or robo-zerker, for a slight attack speed boost.
I personally like Bonehew also, but I need a shield, now that Life Leech is nerfed. |
yeah i dont like the life leech business.... now its hard to make a good melee dueler, im use to havin a barb from .09 that could have all life back in one hit lol
